She ran blood work without my knowledge. Another doctor put in bloodwork so I went and had it done and when I looked at the results I saw her name on 2 test.

She is an extremely honest and compassionate provider. She impressed me and I would recommend her to everyone I care about. She will tell you how it is but she does this because she does care. She is an intelligent provider. I really enjoyed my visit with her.

Today was my first experience with a Health care professional that I could actually speak with and not just to. Her matter of fact approach leaves no room for error in her practice of medicine. During my visit she was extremely thorough in every aspect and the VA should set their standards to match that of hers! Dr Shields is the best bar none.

Dr. Shields puts statements in her notes that the patient never said. When performing tests, she doesn't fully complete the tests and then states in her notes that the patient responded in a certain manner that they didn't because the test was fully completed. I know this to be true because I have had this particular test done by several Neurologist, and I know how the test is performed. I absolutely do not trust this doctor and will never see her again, nor will I ever recommend her to anyone.
