List of Harshad Kumar Patel's Reviews
I booked my 6 year old to see this provider to be assessed for ADHD, which I was told was a service he could provide, and I completed several pages of history paperwork before the appointment. At the appt he spent about 5 minutes with us, did not introduce himself or speak to my son, asked me why we were there, asked how old my son was, and what we wanted him to do (all of which was included in the intake paperwork). He then handed us a card of a different neuropsychologist, not in his practice, that he wished to refer us to, because he could not do the assessment. When I pressed on this, he said, "Well, we could do a computer assessment in our other office" and I consented. We then were escorted back to the registration desk, where the receptionist was to help book that appt. Then, while being booked, another person came out and said, "Actually, your son is 6, and that test is only for children 8 or older, so we won't be able to do that either." This was an egregious waste of my time
Dr. H Patel is a wonderful Doctor. He listen. He cares.
HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING - DO NOT GO HERE - Doctor showed up 30 minutes late to teleappointment - no one in office contacted me - then made me feel shame and guilt. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
Wonderful Dr. Patient & soft spoken.
Quick and concise. He listened to me..so far so good
I've been seeing Dr Patel for about 6 months now, and most of our appointments are via phone. Every appointment, he basically asks "what do you want?" and then prescribes things that have nothing to do with the issues that I have that I have reiterated time and time again to him. He doesn't seem to understand what I tell him and he just ups my anxiety meds when I tell him of my other issues and tries to rush me off the phone. I'm actively looking for another psychiatrist.
Completely dismissive. He essentially asked me to tell him why I thought I may be in need of a diagnosis and/or medication then told me he didn't agree without asking any probing questions to gain further understanding of my issues. Waste of an appointment and very dismissive and discouraging. I am fortunately not in the midst of crisis, but can't imagine how damaging his demeanor would be to someone who is.
Good guy. Listens, but doesn't ask embarrassing or demeaning questions. But seems to understand anyway. HIGHLY recommend. Also the front staff is overworked but still polite and helpful.
When you read reviews about a Dr I believe the reviews should not be about medication refills and insurance issues. You want to know about the doctor. So when I see how those one star reviews destroy the reputation of a truly great doctor I want to speak out. Dr Patel gave me a second chance in the first visit he prescribed the perfect specific medication and a chance to talk. Every time I went to see him I was glad that I did. I hope to continue post COVID as needed.
I'm currently under his care. Today I'm confused, anxious and suffering. He did not refill nor taper me from a dangerous medication. I really like Dr. Patel. Hes a good man. I understand the world is crazy right now. I trusted I would be ok in his care. I do not prefer medication. Today, after many visits, one recent, many attempts to contact, I'm suffering dangerous withdrawal symptoms. There is very little if no contact allowed with the office. A phone service after hours with explicit instructions. ??? I am very scared for my health and my family well being today. Withdrawal from this medication can be deadly. I do not understand what happened? Or why?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
