Alan Macgill's Online Review Report Card

He operated on my husband in 2017. My husband was hit by a car on his left side as a pedestrian. His bone on his foot was almost coming out of his skin. He did a fantastic job and I would recommend him highly to anyone.

Dr. MacGill is caring and thorough.

He is such an awesome Dr. My husband has a condition called Charcot foot and Dr. MacGill did his surgery and reconstruct his foot and did a great job 👏🏼 so thankful for him

Doctor MacGill is a good doctor but unfortunately is employed by a company who have horrible business practices). In order to schedule my surgery, and since I hadn't met my deductible yet, they required I pay their full fee upfront. Although the insurance company told them (with me on the phone) the allowed amount was $465 they said it was their "policy" to collect the full fee, which was of $1500! 3 TIMES THEIR CONTRACTED RATE. They explained that they would reimburse me the difference once the claim processed. THEY LIED! After they extorted $1500 from me to schedule the surgery on May 10, the surgery was on June 18, and claim processed for $465 at the end of June. I filled out their online request for refund immediately (which I shouldn't have to do and includes a $10 charge to me TO MAIL ME BACK MY MONEY!). As of August 28 I am still waiting for my $1000+ refund. They do this so much that they even have a refund dept. Unfortunately there is no way to call them because all phone numbers lead to a call center and sometimes, if you're lucky, they call back a few days later. I have spoken with Stephanie and Yati all who say "it's still in process and we don't know how much longer". When I told this to Dr. Macgill during post op visits, he says sorry, but he is just an employee. I have filed complaints with the insurance company, Florida Dept of Professional Regulation and will move to small claims court next. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! THEY ARE A HORRIBLE PLACE WITH NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

If you ever get stuck in a gun fight with a knife you want Dr. MacGill and no one else holding it. Because of his amazing wound care, patience with my husband, who is far from a perfect patient, he is on the road to recovery. He got us a prognosis that no other doctor could.

A true gentleman and scholar. He took his time examining my foot and ankle and knew right away what was wrong. I had many questions that were answered in detail and patiently. Thank you, Dr. MacGill.

The doctors are good, but the “business” of the practice is awful. Always long wait in the office and you don’t get seen until well after your appointment time. Also,, you cannot call the office directly. All calls go through a centralized call center where you wait on hold for as long as 20 minutes to speak to a call rep. It’s like institutional medicine. Totally disconnected from the patient. If you want personalized service and a good patient experience this is not the place for you

Saw him in 2 different offices over the last 3 weeks, he is very well informed and professional in his manner. I did ask.him for 2 references from former patients..
