List of Alberto Torres's Reviews
He listened to my husband and his many military-service related and non-related medical issues. He answered all of our questions and had a very friendly and professional bedside manner. Highly recommended for male patients, especially.
This doctor is useless. I asked to see a urologist because of pain and he sent me for a sonogram of my testicles. He said it came back negative and no further follow up was needed. I had to go private and had surgery to remove kidney stones. It cost me $1300.00 out of pocket where I would have been covered if he would have sent me to the urologist. If you want to live I suggest you find another doctor as this one is more concerned about what someone above him will say than he is about his patients. AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COST.
If this is the Doc Torres I think it is . This guy is trash . I’m sure he puts on a facades for his supervisors. I have complained to patient advocates at the VA as well as other doctors. It makes zero sense why this guy still has a job. He has zero knowledge of anything. For example I needed to see a Rheumatologist because I was having issues with my hands. First he told me Bay Pines VA doesn’t have a rheumatology department. Once I found out there was I pretty much had to argue with him to get me a consult for a department he still didn’t believe existed. I was given a cortisone shot from a doctor at the VA and he lost his mind. Torres : WHO GAVE YOU THIS SHOT ? Who gave it to you. What doctor. When I answered he said I don’t know who that is . I answered she’s a VA doctor. Needles to say he didn’t believe me. He must have extraordinary strong shoulders because every time I go to him with a problem he just shrugs his shoulders and says I don’t know. Every single time he shrugs his shoulders and says I don’t know that’s just the way it is. Judging off his answers I could be a doctor. Pay me the big bucks I’ll just shrug my shoulders and say I don’t know because obviously that’s all I need to know is nothing. With my hands the first time I mentioned it he said it could be my back the next time I asked him he said it couldn’t be my back. He puts ZERO notes in the system except for notes that have nothing to do with the problem at hand. Every single time I’ve seen him the notes says later say he gave me a full exam and found nothing. He’s given me an exam once in 5 years. I have a physical coming up hopefully I have a new doc by that point because the trust left the room 4 years ago. He puts on a good front till he actually needs to be a doctor. I understand the VA probably hired him off what they saw . I hope he wasn’t hired on who he actually is. He doesn’t talk to you as a doctor he talks to you as if you are below him and he is better than you. If it’s possible to record or to bring someone else in the room with you to keep him honest I suggest you do it. One time I got the impression he actually cared . When people say the VA is horrible he’s one of the doctors contributing to that.
What a POS! We well make sure your license is taken away. My husband almost died from you giving him both pneumonia and flu shots at the same time. Then he lied and told my husband that the VA has no more pain management department. What kind of physician is this?!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
