I left his practice (as a patient) because his wife was nasty and obusive to patients...myelf included. Shame is Gelfman's not a bad doctor but it's not worth putting up with his wife and having to bite your lip to visit and be treated. If he were to fire her...I'd go back.

I was seeing Dr. Gelfman for many years. He took a blood test every three months. All of a sudden without any warnings at all, not only did he say that I don’t have pre-diabetes, I already had full-blown diabetes. He looked up in a book who is he should be for me to and resort me to a horrible doctor that just got fired from where she was working before. This doctor also only takes Medicare and no other insurance. This stuff is nasty and rude.

Called to make an appointment for a new patient with Dr. Gelfman. According to United Healthcare, he is supposed to take their insurance. I was RUDELY hung up on by his assistant because I would not pay a concierge fee. This has now been reported to United Healthcare. Absolutely RUDE!

Great dr.... got 1 star because of an assistant named Debbie Why is she still working for this office? She is insulting and rude and has a major chip on her shoulder... not sure why?! Would never refer to this office SOLELY because of her ... assistants... front office etc represent the dr... she needs to take a course on empathy and kindness

Dr. Gelfman has been my doctor for 17 years. He not only is a great doctor and diagnostician, but is calming, personable, and has a sense of humor which is unusual and delightful in a doctor, especially for a nervous patient. He sets me at ease. He is not a "fear-monger" in the slightest. I feel so fortunate to be a patient of his. His staff is wonderful too.

Dr. Gelfman is that unique doctor that not only is thoughtful and thorough but makes you feel comfortable. He is the kind of person you want as your doctor. He follows up with phone calls and is responsive to any emergencies.

Dr. Gelfman has been my internist for the past 20 years. He is caring and always on top of everything. His office staff is wonderful. I can always get an appointment the day I am sick. He returns my calls promptly. I highly recommend Dr. Gelfman if you are looking for a great Doctor
