Carefully detailing the team effort of Dr. Girgis and Dr, Drew Bawcombe on my vision revolves around the 10 month effect of 10 injections of VEGF inhibitor into my left eyeball administered by Dr. Bawcombe that resolved a vertical line distortion and simultaneously the blotches that were affecting the center focus of my vision. The dark spots blocked out for example the center of a face or part or all 4 inner letters of a 6 letter word. After several months the line distortion resolved first, then the blackness became grey before disappearing. I might say that this is miraculous healing but that would be unfair to these gifted eye specialists. After 15 months of very little progress, when 2 teams of specialists on both coasts of the U.S. adopted a wait and see approach, I am grateful that Dr. Girgis and Dr. Bawcombe actively and aggressively intervened. My intention when I first visited Dr Girgis was to prevent my eyesight from deteriorating. After Dr. Bawcombe's injections, I see as well or better than before any symptoms of CSR or Wet Macular Degeneration emerged.

Great Dr.takes his time to listen to patient's concerns, through exam, explains everything in laymen terms so patient can understand. My husband very satisfied with this first visit. We go back in a month.

I have been going to Dr. Bawcombe for serval years. Dr. Bawcombe and his staff are compassionate, responsive, and organized.I highly recommend him! This office is the place to go if you are looking for a Doctor and staff that care and want you to get better!

On a first visit he diagnosed diabetic retinopathy and offered to inject the eye. I declined. Two months later he observed "no change, " diagnosed macular degeneration, and strongly advised injecting it. The physician at Baskin-Palmer Eye Institute diagnosed a very small spot of fluid resulting from a high blood pressure event and strongly advised "do nothing." I will return to this physician.

I saw doctor Drew Bawcombe as a new patient and the staff was friendly. Everyone in that office made me feel welcome and comfortable. Dr. Bawcombe was very thorough. I highly recommend him as your ophthalmologist.
