I feel compelled to write this review for the following reasons most of which is having gone to a respected orthopedic medical group to get a diagnose on hip pain .... I felt like a number and the staff treated me as a number .....I was diagnosed as having to have a hip replacement. This was almost three years ago. I of course went to a recommended Dr Edgar Handel Director of FIJI ( Florida International Joint Institute ) to get a second opinion. I immediately recognized a family environment from the receptionist Trish , and assistant Judy:....were amazing ...they have been with Dr Handal for over 20 years. i was received not as a number but a person with appropriate attention. Dr Handle was very frank and extremely personable ,and open to my decision based on his opinion the surgery was not immediate and allowed me within certain guidelines to make the choice to do so. I feel totally comfortable under his care and family support of his staff.. a pleasant position to be in. I recommend Dr Handel very highly A true 5 star medical group but with a “ Family “ care environment. Mark Pompei

Who’s hip revision surgery does he do?his? Or other doctors? How frequently do his patients need revision or a special shoe made to make the legs even after surgery????

After seeing several doctors for serious knee pain, I was referred to Dr. Handal. Every other doctor brushed me off saying I probably had a touch of bursitis or the pain was coming from a recent hip issue. Dr. Handal was thorough, took the time to examine me and found the causes of my pain. He was interested, caring and very nice. He and his staff are AMAZING !! So grateful for finding him.

Dr. Handal and his staff are amazing. I have had knee pain for over 30 years and been to many doctors. He pin pointed the problem right away. I can't thank him enough.

I had confidence he was good but 2 years after arthroscopic surgery and stem cell therapy He recommended highly and $5000.00 later my knee hurts. Saw another orthopedic doctor and was told that the stem cell is a sham. So I would not recommend him for my dog .

I went to see Dr Handal for a knee replacement, he was very thorough about the procedure and I felt very comfortable choosing him as a doctor, after my surgery everything was great, my recovery was a success and I feel like a new woman, I really recommend Dr Edgar Handal to everyone...Thankyou Dr Handal for changing my life....

Dr.Handal did my hip replacement and I was nervous before but after meeting him I felt there would be no one better. I had no complications and he was wonderful through the whole experience . I recommend Dr.Handal to anyone looking for a Orthopedic Surgeon, He is The Best...

Dr Handal has been my dr for one year. He did tkr and I am very happy with the results. Staff is wonderful and highly recommend him. He takes all his measurements before doing surgery/ not like other drs lets do surgery. Very understandable and thorough. His office staff is amazing. Highly recommend him. Thank you for giving me a new knee.

Very unprofessional, told my wife he couldnt do my knee surgery cause he was having issues with his wife. Prior to that be didnt show up to the hospital for my surgery he claims he was sick no call no show. It was beyond anything I have ever heard of.
