Confused by the 5-star rating Dr. Rubin has on Google Reviews. The doctor I met was nasty. Perhaps she was having a bad day but I could tell from the professional nursing staff there was no love lost for her.

On a visit to the Emergency Room at Boca Raton Regional Hospital I was attended by Dr. Gail Rubin-Kwal. I found Dr. Rubin to be attentive, caring and compassionate. In a stressful situation she put me completely at ease. Thank you Dr. Rubin!

I’ve always had very positive experiences in the ER until recently when my elderly mother was treated for a head laceration. Dr. Rubin was abrupt, minimizing, condescending, and outwardly rude while questioning me about my mother. She did not even bother to introduce herself or say hello upon entering. She also had the audacity to say that I wasn’t giving her the information she needed.....my sister, who was there, was the better historian. What kind of doctor says that, or makes one feel less than? This physician is clearly not someone I would want caring for me or my family member(s). A little compassion, empathy and understanding goes a long way, plus some sensitivity. Intimidation, curtness, and belittling individuals are not criteria for upstanding physicians, in my opinion. Does she not realize that persons entering through the ER doors are in need of help and understanding? A sensitIvity course would benefit her greatly, but you can guarantee I won’t be back to find out if she learned anything.

Dr. Kwal saved my life !!! From the moment I entered the hospital she ordered the right tests, organized the right drs to do surgery and follow up. She stayed with me the entire time and made me feel at ease. Dr Kwal is amazing ! Thank you for saving my life!

Im really happy to see the above honest review. I meet Dr Rubin in the ER and I felt belittled by her and truly insulted by her comments. I now know I am not alone by the other review. Clearly the other reviews were written by family or friends as there is no way this 'doctor' could be construed as a good physician and especially a good person. I hope she is part of the OLD guard of medicine that will be phased out where the patient is not allowed to be part of the care team.
