List of Ira L Lazar's Reviews
I have been a patient of Ira Lazar, M.D. for several years. Dr. Lazar practices at the highest level, with Great Care and Compassion. I am thankful as many others are to be guided by his care.
Dr. Lazar is absolutely fantastic. His office staff is, well to say otherwise totally messed up. I had an appointment in October of 2021, after the he appointment was I made the next appointment at the check out window as I normally do. We set the appointment for February 7, 2022. I get a call three weeks before February asking if I want to schedule an appointment. I explained I already have on. They said no appointment existed. This is the fourth time my appointment with dr. Lazar has gone messed up. Although dr. Lazar is fantastic I need to find a competent office.
On time & informative
Great people
Dr. Lazar is very qualified, and personable.
My visit was very pleasant and professional. Dr lazar went over my records in details and explain me why I was feeling bad and I have to do for my recovery. Thanks god we still have this true professional that we can count for my kidney disease. In short I’m living much better life because of him. I recommend to anyone dr lazar.
This physician was recommended by my surgeon/urologist for persistent kidney stones. Made 3 appointments which were canceled by his office each time. The first appointment was canceled the morning of the appointment. The last appointment was cancelled while I was sitting in the waiting room after driving 1 hour to see him. He was in the office at the time but still would not see me. No reason was given why ?? Very unprofessional !! Of course, I decided to not see this Doctor at all.
I was referred by my Nephrologist from Vanderbilt to Dr. Lazar. I have 4th. stage Kidney disease. Meeting with Dr. Lazar he spent a goodly amount of time talking about my disease. After my 3rd. visit he realized that something was radically wrong with me and had 2 specialized tests done. They revealed that I had a huge amount of liquid accumulated in the sac surrounding my heart. I was Immediately hospitlized me and the surgery needed was performed. His diagnosis was true & saved my life.
Horrible Kidney doctor. I was experiencing kidney failure at Boca Regional hospital and Dr. Ira Lazar came to my hospital room to break the bad news, and then told me at my bedside that this was going to get real expensive to treat, and asked me who was going to pay for it? I could see his shifty eyes looking toward my wallet. I was shocked since the hospital had already gotten my insurance info... Then he made an appointment for me to see him at his office once I was released from the hospital, which he kept rescheduling because he evidently puts his golf course outings above the care of his patients. Whenever he would see me my blood pressure was always dangerously high! But he would just shrug it off, and keep setting future appointments, but never got my blood pressure under control. I finally had to report him to The Florida Health Department and am waiting to hear back from them. Stay away from this doctor.
Fabulous!!! He is very knowledgeable. Upon request, he offers explanations to health concerns of patients. He is kind and caring. In addition, his staff is warm and kind and helpful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
