Visit went very well. From the receptionist, to the assistant Lisa, and to Dr. Portnof, they were all great. Dr. Portnof was very detailed in his explanation of my scan. Would definitely recommend.

The doctor was wonderful. The staff was to send me a quote and call my insurance. I called the office and was told someone would call me back . That was two weeks after my visit. I sent them an email. No response. I guess I will have to find another doctor since it’s almost been a month and no call back.

Front desk staff would not accept my recent CBCT scan results and insisted I needed a new scan. In addition, they said my insurance does not cover the scan but I did use it for my recent scan. Seems like they are trying to make me spend more money for the exact scan I just completed. They wouldn’t even consider looking at the CT results or images. Wasted my time. Please make sure you call the front desk to confirm the requirements for seeing Dr Portnof. I felt like the front desk workers are gate keepers and might not understand the technical side of oral surgery. It’s a shame because it seems Dr Portnof is a decent surgeon.

Very unprofessional! They have canceled my appointments last minute countless times. On not 1 but 2 occasions a 9am appointment was canceled by a random phone call around 4:30pm (right before their office closed for the day) to give me BS excuse about how they themselves (staff) had no notice that doctor Portnof would not be in the office to see patients on the day of my appointment. If that happened once, I might have believed it but it happened twice in my case. Also, maybe this is my personal experience, but each and every time I actually was able to see doctor Portnof he was pleasant but he was ALWAYS rushing out.. as though he had a million other patients to see or things to do (maybe so) but no one likes to feel as though they're getting rushed services or sub-par service.. be warned.
