List of Jodi A Fiedler's Reviews
The staff was rude. Waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes, with zero apologies. It’s a complete Patient mill. We took our daughter out of school early to wait for nothing!!! We Left after 1 hour and 45 minutes without being seen! Complete waste. Complete patient mill.
My husband and I have both been patients of Dr. Jodi Fiedler. In our experience with Dr Fiedler, we found that If you are looking for a doctor that cares about your being a patient of hers and takes an interest in your welfare, we found that she is not the doctor to see. Do yourself a favor and find another doctor. To begin with, this office has the rudest and most unprofessional staff. Usually, if you are lucky, the doctor sees you about 1 hour AFTER your designated appt.time. There’s always a wait. Then, as soon as you walk into the exam room, the assistant has you immediately sign biopsy waivers, etc., BEFORE, the doctor even sees you. The doctor always seems to find areas to either biopsy, freeze or do both. We have found that Dr Fiedler is always in a rush and we feel like we are just a dollar sign to her. After a biopsy, we would have to wait about two weeks to get the biopsy results. YOU will need to keep calling the office for days on end to get your biopsy results. Long story short, we now see a doctor that respects our time, takes an interest in our health and only does biopsies or freezes sections when absolutely necessay. It’s so nice to be able to talk to a doctor that actually listens and gives feed back. both.
When my husband had 2 strokes and then a tumor removed, we were drowning in medical bills. That was because we had terrible insurance coverage. I called all the doctors that we had outstanding bills and worked with them on payment plans. All but one offered to pay up front for a discount or a yearly payment plan with the exception of one doctor. One that I had seen for 18 years. She said all is due up front, no discounts, no payment plans... you would think that I owed her thousands of dollars but no, I owed her $375. Obviously, I prioritized that payment but I also requested our files. I told them that we are no longer patients of a doctor that couldn't find in her heart to support me in this time of need. I mean, couldn't you give me a payment plan? really? So, I signed the documentation that requested all of our medical records and said good bye to this doctor I saw for 18 years... Not just me... My 4 daughters saw her too. I forgot to tell one of the daughters that and she called the office requesting a prescription refill. She was not told that she was no longer a patient. She was faxed a script. And then billed $150 for the scrip. My insurance adjusted the price and i get an invoice for $79.06. for a blood test script, that they never saw the results because by then I told my daughter that she is no longer our doctor. I called to explain that this invoice must be wrong as it says on the invoice Office/outpatient ... she was not seen by a doctor, she did not speak to the doctor and she was no longer a patient of that doctor. So I called their business line and explained the situation and I asked her to speak to the doctor and to NOT send to collections. If the doctor would not give up on this invoice I WOULD pay. Over the weekend I got an invoice from collections. I called the billing office manager who said that everything I told her is on the files, that she remembers everything 100% and that she is shocked that the doctor sent to collections because it was clearly marked that it was not necessary. The sad part is that she was not surprised. She also said that only the doctor, not anyone in the office can authorize sending to collections. ONLY THE DOCTOR. I had felt for a while that the dermatology office of Dr. Fiedler had become a place for cosmetics, a way to make a ton of money fast and that healthcare became secondary... But the degree of greed was not that obvious. for those considering going to this practice know the following:1. you are a number. no one there cares about your health2. you will wait a long time in the waiting room but be seen for seconds unless it is a cosmetic cash up front transaction3. you will be treated with complete disrespect by the front desk they are not nice, either because they are not nice or they are not treated in a caring way, regardless they are taking it out on the patients4. you can be a patient for 18 years and will still never develop a relationship with the doctor, why? because of #1 you are just a number and a way for them to make money. Hope my experience warns those who are on the fence. There are better doctors. who care, who are kind, who are committed to patients health... I have found some amazing ones in the last year, especially at the cleveland clinic. It is worth the drive... Your health is #1 and being treated with some level of care and respect should not be disregarded either.
An hour and a half of my time that I will never get back and still didn’t even make it in to see the doctor! I’ve been a patient at this practice for over 10 years and the overbooking gets worse every single time I go in there. It has truly become a patient mill. Today I arrived at 4:15 for a 4:15 appointment. I was finally called back at 5:10 but by then I was looking at all the patients around the waiting room and the closed doors on the way back and realizing that there was no way I was going to be seen anytime soon and I had some place to be at 6 o’clock. I explained that if the doctor wasn’t in by 5:30, I would have to leave so I can make my other appointment on time (my son’s playoff game where I was meeting his grandmother and needed to help her get my father’s scooter out of the car). The assistant told me there were still three people ahead of me so she couldn’t guarantee anything. I did give it until 5:30 when I could no longer wait and still be on time since, if the doctor came in at that point, it would still be at least another 15 minutes before I would be out of there. Judging by my previous experiences and the other reviews, this is not an isolated incident. It is a pattern. It is incredibly arrogant to be so nonchalant about the time of the people that are paying you. It is also incredibly arrogant to treat people like they have no other options. While I was waiting, it gave me plenty of time to research practices in the area with better reviews and to confer with friends about positive experiences they have with their doctors which only frustrated me further since found multiple examples of considerate, competent and professional service. When booking with this practice, please consider how valuable your time is and whether you wish to pay people with your hard earned money that have zero respect for your time. As for me, I will be reaching out tomorrow to some of my many other options.
I made an appointment to see Dr. Fiedler today at 12:45. While it was my first appointment, my parents have been patients for YEARS. I arrived a few minutes early and saw a jam packed waiting room. After it had been about 30 minutes of waiting I struck up conversation with the people around me. Oddly enough they had 12:45 appointments with Dr. Fiedler as well… A few minutes later one of their names was called, then another and eventually mine. I went to the exam room. And waited….. 30 minutes later and still no Dr. Fiedler I opened the door and asked a nurse if by any chance they forgot about me. She said, they were just running behind but it would still be longer because the doctor had TWO more patients to see before she was coming to me. I waited another 15 minutes before saying something again and was told she still hadn’t seen those patients. So I told the two nurses i saw that I was leaving as I had a work call I would miss if I continued waiting. They more or less blamed me for this problem as I made an afternoon appointment. They suggested if I “don’t like waiting” that I reschedule a first thing in the morning appointment. When I went to the appointment desk, explained the situation the girl had a similar attitude. She initially offered me a 7:15am appointment for the following week. Then realized I was a “new patient” and said never mind I can’t give you something in the first hour. Really? After how I was just treated and you won’t make an exception? You guys told me I should come early then that? Classy. I won’t be back. Sadly this office doesn’t care.
Dr Fiedler should be removed from practice for non-existent sanitary practices. She practices at retirement facilities. She came to see my mother in her apartment. No handwashing, no gloves, no sterilizing of table. Horrible.
They wait is longer then actual visit . It’s not professional to not let patient aware .
More of a patient mill than a doctor's office. No regard for patient's time. Can wait 1 1/2 - 2 hours to be seen. I was a little late to an appointment and I was "punished". I was told I would have to wait until everyone in the waiting area was seen before I could be seen. Have been a patient there for YEARS. No customer service. No loyalty. Taking my business elsewhere ( and sadly they do not care).
The doctor is pleasant BUT the office staff does not know from customer service. The Dr. definitely does not value the patient's time. When things first opened post-COVID lockdown, no wait to be seen. Pre COVID lockdown and now you can wait 1 1/2-2 hours in the waiting area to be seen. Patients are double and triple booked every 15 minutes. It's more of a patient mill than a doctor's office. I would give zero stars if I could.
Went to the office for a 12:15 follow up appointment. I arrived at noon. The receptionist was a little snippy and told me that she couldn't check me in until my appointment time. I told her to cancel my appointment and that I will find another Dermatologist. (I would recommend Dr. Eli Cohen in Boca) TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
