List of Ralph Palumbo, Md's Reviews
Been going to Dr Palumbo for approximately seven years. Great physician and great personality. I can’t say enough about this guy. Randy
Saw Dr Palumbo on March 11 th to discuss my medical issue. He seemed really interested and concerned about my situation. He said he would contact my Oncologist and get back to me in a day or two. Fast forward to March 21st. After calls to his office and a discussion with his assistant, I have yet to hear from the doctor or his assistant again. I have never had this experience before. And what's worse? I had a great vibe after my first visit.
Office staff not supportive The assistant, and receptionist are unprofessional. I was not able to get an inhaler because his assistant believes getting a prior authorization is unnecessary. This is despite CVS, Medicare and emblem health requirements. According to his assistant, prior authorizations are too much trouble and there are too many boxes to fill out and too many questions to answer so I should just pay $44.00. Even though this medication is covered by my RX plan according to CVS and emblem health. Both my medical insurance company and the pharmacist said the assistant should do the job and submit the pre-authorization This is unacceptable and inexcusable. I will find another practice. this is done to all patients and most are too disabled to complain. My primary care doctor helped me and did the pre auth and my fee was only $10 dollars for the RX as expected.
Dr. Palumbo is a nice man and a polite doctor. However, his assistant, Mary Jane is unprofessional. I have not be able to get an inhaler because Mary Jane believes “getting a prior authorization is unnecessary” This is despite CVS, Medicare and emblem health requirements. “because it is too much trouble” for Mary Jane, “there are too many boxes to fill out and too many questions to answer so I should just pay $44.00.” Even though this medication is covered by my RX plan according to CVS and emblem health. This is the worst medical care I have ever gotten. It is unacceptable and inexcusable. I want to breathe! Due to Mary Jane’s incompetence and I will find another practice. Suggest she be fired. I’m sure she is doing this to all patients and most are too disabled to fight her back.

First time visit. Fantastic staff. Dr was amazing. How nice to see a doctor who cares. First time visit. So glad Dr M Cohen recommended him. From 1 to 10. They get a ten (10). F. M. LaPorte
Dr. Palumbo is perhaps the finest doctor ever! He takes his time, listens, and honestly cares about his patients. I put off going to a Pulmonologist for way too long, I had every excuse imaginable until I could wait no longer. Divine Intervention brought me to him, Thank You, Lord! He did some testing and put me on the correct medicine (not what I looked up on the internet and bought), I was better in 36 hours! Better not cured, I will continue to go to him for as long as he will have me. My Sincerest Thanks and Appreciation, Patricia Kelly
Dr. Palumbo diagnosed my problem on my first visit.. A cough (not a cold) kept me up nights. Morning presented phlegm and more coughing til mid morning...This went on for weeks. Dr. Palumbo prescribed a nasal spray for am/pm - After only a few days I noticed the problem lessened - Not coughing /no phlegm . Diagnosing with one visit / a breathing test to see Lung strength was the only test. The staff call him Dr. Ralph...that tells you something. He is respected by his patients and his staff.
He did a few test and told me there was nothing he could do for me and did not make another appointment. I was later diagnosed with Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. The office was nice, the office staff was nice, and the location was very convenient but Dr. Palumbo was no help.
I have been told by his staff I would be called because the Dr. wanted to see me in April. Of course, no call, and when I called, I was told there was no appointments available.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
