Unfortunately the rating system only provides 5 stars. Otherwise I'd give Dr. Gupta a 10! I have a serious vision issue and have been under Dr. Gupta's care for a number of years. He is incredible patient in both his medical diagnosis AND explanation. He doesn't treat patients like some number in a meat market. Even though I now see him annually, he always remembers little things about his patients. I once asked him and his response was telling: He said he treated the entire person, not just their vision problem." You can look, but you will not find a more caring, knowledgeable retina specialist anywhere. He's the best.

Please read the reviews, Coral springs has a 2.8 and that is to high.I am in the medical field and this is by far the rudest front desk I have encountered.The phone choice for appointments, just hangs up when they pick up. Could not believe it , so I dialed it three more times.. Yes they were answering and hanging up.Made the choice #2 for Doctors and Hospitals and when you get a live voice it confirms the nastiness in person..So unwilling to do the jo a front desk should do...Greet you and want to assist..Ivy is the most unqualified, rude interaction I have ever had...Do yourself a favor and trust the bad reviews, letting you be aware of front desk staff, they are very accurate.......

I had my first appointment yesterday at this office. The young woman who's engaged at the front desk, is amazing..super personality. The staff was very knowledgeable and takes their time THOROUGHLY explaining each part of the exam to make you comfortable. Now, the doctor. This doctor knows his craft and takes the time and doesn't rush in explaining results etc to you. He is highly knowledgeable and explains everything, he made me feel at ease because I was initially a bit nervous. If you need an A-1 eye physician, see Dr Gupta, he will not disappoint nor his staff.

I have found Doctor Gupta to be very professional and caring. He is not an alarmist, his staff has been working very well with the confines of Covid. He does not push you into surgery and works well with my opthamologist as well.

Dr. Gupta and his staff are always courteous and very professional. I always feel comfortable and safe here.

Dr. Shailesh Gupta is a highly professional, extremely bright surgeon. His years of experience have provided him with extensive experience and expertise. He literally saved my husbands eyesight remediating his torn retina. Recently I had a personal experience with a very positive outcome. I read reviews that complained about wait time, that was not my experience however, I can sincerely say that it is worth the wait to see Dr Gupta.

Very professional. Everyone seemed to care and to know what they were doing. Dr. Gupta explained everything so I could understand what the problem is and how it can be treated.

My grandmother had a 2:30 appointment at the Retina Specialty Center. She waited two hours before her name was called. I asked the receptionist, Shameka, where she was in the queue. She pointed to the sign near the desk—which reads, “please expect to be here 2-3 hours for your appointment.” My grandmother is diabetic. Her blood sugar was also incredibly low. I was standing in the hallway. The office administrator, Michelle, stood three inches from my face & told me to sit in the lobby. I asked her to give me space. When my grandmother asked Michelle to move, that she’d waited for two hours, she responded her, “that is irrelevant—she needs to sit in the lobby.” Arms crossed, inches away from my face, Michelle pointed at the door to, as she put it, “go.” A nurse ushered me in the room with my grandmother. As the nurse tried to help my grandmother, Michelle came in to tell us she was calling the police. The police. My grandmother is 71. Seventy-one, with a birthday the day before. After a two-hour wait, an office administrator was threatening to call the police on my grandmother. I told Michelle to leave, as she was making my grandmother upset. She was incredibly unprofessional. Dr. Shaileth Gupta came in. He said we were making too much noise. He said he had other patients. According to Gupta, if we didn’t have a quiet conversation, we’d have to leave. I gathered my grandmother’s belongings, and walked her to her car. Dr. Gupta & (most) of his staff treated us with such disdain and disregard. There were 8-9 older patients who arrived before us, who were still waiting once we left. There are 16 chairs in this office, and 20-25 elderly people at any given time. Upon entry, an older Asian woman with a walker was leaving. None of the staff held a door for her to exit. My grandmother cried in the car. Before departing, I asked what Michelle's name was. I was told it was Linda. The next day, I called to retrieve her actual nomenclature. I searched Dr. Gupta's office online to locate the number. I found a number of reviews claiming Dr. Gupta has performed several unnecessary procedures on the elderly. Some questioned his credentials. His staff’s demeanor, and their lack of care and concern for the job is disheartening.

Horrible provider. Was very rude with me when I told him I needed to ask my family on the extensive retinal testing he wanted to perform. I went for a second opinion by another provider and was told I didn't need the testing as I didn't show any signs for needing it. The office made me go back 3 times and collected 3 copays for me to pick up my report (which I never received). I told the staff to send me report to my PCP and they have yet to do it. The doctor should not be rude to his patients when they question the need for a procedure. I barely saw him for 2 minutes and had is assistant see me.
