List of Susan Laufer's Reviews
Dr Laufer and her staff are wonderful and always able to see my children for same day sick visits which gives me peace of mind.
This woman is an awful Doctor and a public health risk. I had to beg for a strep test and she only agreed to a rapid and informed me she would not be sending it in for culture. She also told me that even if it was positive she would not treat my daughter for strep because she had already been on an antibiotic for strep and it would resolve itself. It didn’t and my daughter’s strep came back. When I called after hours because of the strep reoccurrence, she happened to be the doctor on call and refused to believe that it could be strep. She tried to convince me that my daughter had mono instead. This was over the phone without looking at her in person or checking her charts/history. She reminded me that she went to medical school and I did not. When I tried to explain my child’s history and my research on the subject she told me she “knows more than google” and that I need someone more knowledgeable to interpret the material. If I had not been vigilant and seen a different doctor this woman would have let my daughter go untreated for strep (which has a list of other complications) and additionally infect those around her. Please do not trust her with your child’s health. She cares more about her own superiority than getting the correct diagnosis.
My children have been patients of Advanced Pediatrics for over seven years now. Today (a Sunday) , Dr. Laufer, happened to be the doctor on call. I explained to her that my child was showing signs of pink eye and that we were on vacation. At which time she told me that she did not have the accessibility to call in a prescription. Furthermore she told me that she had received 25 calls “on her day off.” I explained to her that she chose her profession. Her insensitivity and Unfazed attitude that my son would possibly infect my daughter is truly disheartening. I am extremely dissatisfied with her level of care and in the past when she is the only pediatrician who has had an opening I am not impressed with her bedside manners. It’s a shame that she is giving Advanced Pediatrics a bad name.
She was very fast and super sweet
We saw Dr. Laufer for a year and a half and she may be very knowledgeable but seems very distant. Every time we saw her she introduced herself like we had never met. She never seemed to even remotely remember my daughter and would always ask us what the appointment was for. The practice she is with, Pediatric Associates, is a large assembly line, you are only a number practice. All waits were over an hour, last time had 2:45 appointment and left at 5:20 without seeing the doctor
This is a doctor that is not updated, do not go to this doctor!! My 4 months baby was supposed to be in a hospital for one week antibiotic treatment, due to a UTI. This doctor, because saw her alert and eating, released her on the third day and prescribed a for one more week Kleflex (this antibiotic is a first generation antibiotic from the 70's and not a last generation). The bacteria with this antibiotic was drinking cocktails, because after the third day of oral treatment, the infection came back even worst and her blood cell count was higher than in her first admission to the hospital. This second time, my baby was treated by a real professional and stayed the whole week in a treatment with Rocephyne and one more week with Omniceff (Last generation antibiotic). I recommend Doctor Laufer to go back to Medicine School and get updated in the infection treatment of a baby.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
