Tamara Liss's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Liss is not a very compassionate physician. She is cursory and wants to have as little to do with her patients as possible. If you are looking to find someone with any bedside manner or personality, look elsewhere. Her staff, especially, Melissa is kind and competent. Her office needs to be updated, it is not too clean and everything is very dated.

Wonderful practice. Warm friendly staff. Knowlegable doctor. Available on the phone if needed.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Liss for over 5 years. She’s always given me the best care. I can always get an appt quickly, and any specialist she’s recommended has been top notch. Any doctor Ive spoken to has the utmost respect for her. I don’t expect to be entertained by my doctors. I find her low key approach refreshing.

Dr. Liss is arrogant and insulting. At a well checkup recently she was argumentative and disrespectful to me when I merely said I disagreed with what she was suggesting I do and that my feelings were based on legitimate and trusted medical studies. She must not have been aware of these studies. Since that visit, additional scientific studies further prove what I mentioned to her was indeed true. Dr. Liss' personality also leaves a lot to be desired. She has a cold bedside manner; her exams are cursory, and she shows little care and concern. Her nurses on the other hand are friendly, more caring, and more thorough when taking blood pressure, etc. and for this reason ONLY I gave a one-star rating. Find another doctor if you truly care about your health!

My husband was weak and sick. After a visit to urgent care, he was no better. Dr Liss did a thorough assessment and bloodwork. She determined within the same visit that he needed hospitalization. His kidneys were blocked and he was in renal failure. Dr Liss is well connected and well known at Boca Regional Hospital. Within no time my husband was seen by a urologist and underwent an emergency procedure to open up his blocked kidneys. Time was of the essence. With limited visitation during covid, Dr Liss communicated with me daily. Her care and excellent diagnostic skills saved my husband’s life!

Excellent care. Dr Liss does offer telehealth visits. I was recently sick with covid. She will not see people coughing or with covid in the office. She was able to help me get a monoclonal antibody infusion immediately at the hospital. I believe this prevented me from being hospitalised. I was still coughing and congested and Dr Liss called in steroids and antibiotics. I am now over the worst of my covid symptoms. Thank you Dr Liss for saving my life!

I recently switched health insurance plans. I contacted six primary doctors and was unable to secure an appointment because they were all not excepting new patients. First of all, an answering machine picks up calls, even at 3:15 on a Thursday.I eventually was able to schedule an appointment and learned exactly why she was the only primary on my plan available!The first time I had an appointment with Dr. Liss, I informed her that I had been diagnosed with severe osteoporosis. I showed her my T scores and she responded “you are in really bad shape”. I am a very healthy person and do not even look like I have osteoporosis but learned that I had two fractured ribs after a long walk several months ago and after an xray and bone scan, learned was due to osteoporosis. In the past few months I have become stronger and never experienced any more fractures due to homeopathic supplements called algae CAL and the wonderful Club Pilates taking Pilates reformer to strengthen the muscle in my spine. Instead of being supportive, she was cold and nasty. In addition, I was confused as to how to exit her office and went to leave in the wrong direction. She saw me and said. “Can I help you?” I told her I was trying to find the way out. She told me, “It’s the same way you came in”.Anyone looking for a sarcastic, nasty primary? Look no further.

She does NOT do telehealth. My mother is a patient of Dr Liss, has mobility issues and cannot get in to the office to see the Dr - she is having some issues, I called and was told they don’t do telehealth as they “had issues with the program they were using”. In these days of covid, all Dr’s should make this available to their patients - it inexcusable that they have just hung my mother out to dry - unless she comes into the office, which unfortunately, is not an option. I could NEVER, recommend this Dr if this is how she treats her patients.

My daughter choose this doctor, as it was close to home, she arrived to her scheduled appointment on December 7, 2020, at 1:00, and met with Dr. Liss.This doctor, and her staff did not make my daughter feel welcomed to their office, or comfortable. Her visit was unprofessional, condescending, and incomplete. We do not recommend this Physician, especially if you are currently overweight, (you will not be treated with respect and dignity), This doctor behaved very poorly, upon my daughter's non existent exam, and made her feel awful, about herself. Dr. Liss, we have a scale and a mirror in my house, we do not go to Doctor's to be belittled about our size. There were other issues, in need of discussion, that did not transpire, upon her visit. You really need to check yourself, in a MIRROR! Personally, I would have walked out the door, instantly. You should be ashamed of yourself, for behaving this way! ANGRY PARENT!!!
