My husband is very unhappy with the care he has received here.

I started using Dr. Hawkins approximately 5 - 6 years ago. I saw him in early Dec. 2018 just after hurricane Michael. On Dec 31st I found myself headed to a hospital by ambulace where I expired in route. I had to be rushed from the Chipley Hospital to Flowers Hospital in Dothan Ala.There I remained in a coma some 9 days on life support and stayed in the hospital about 19 days before my release. I had acute pneumonia and sepsis. This illness almost cost me my life. I can't help but think Dr. Hawkins fail to diagnose me properly when ai saw him some 2 weeks before but in fairness I continued to see him. I've had heart problems,.required surgeries and more all while seeing this doctor. Each time I had to seek out professional help elsewhere entirely on my own with little or no recommendation from this doctor. I do not like drs. that run a money mill. Hiring office managers whose main job is simply to keep the cash flow going by having patients come in at times for simply unnecessary appointments but I also expect treatment for my medical needs rather than just hustled to drain my insurance company. Dr. Hawkins office did not run this way when I became aquainted and began seeing this dr.. Today I find I have lost confidence with this dr. I find I have communication issues as you seem to be directed to an office manager intent on milking your insurance company rather than providing you with necessary contact between you and your dr.even if you simply ask for a call back at his convenience. Today I fined it necessary to fire this dr. I hired him and I can choose to fire him which I have as of this date Aug.21st 2023.

He is not good at geriatrics, find someone else. My father went there for years. He had dementia which Dr. Hawkins ignored and he had chronic pain. I took him to a new provider who diagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritis on the first visit. Dr. Hawkins never caught it. I would never go there myself, let alone take an elderly parent. If you use Emerald Coast Hospice, you are also dealing with Dr. Hawkins. Buyer beware.

I love this office. The waiting area is beautiful, clean and the exam rooms are very clean. He's a great doctor, very thorough and answered all my questions. The staff is really nice too.

Not a bad doctor's office. I do wish the secretaries knew more than they do. I was told that I would not be billed for my blood work, how it would be covered under my office visit. I was billed for it, of course. Other than them not having knowledge, it's ok. ------ Edited: from 3 star to 1. Got into a phone altercation with a secretary who proceeded to be rude and obnoxious to me when I asked for her to ask the provider to extend a life or death medication for 30 days since I had no way to get there. Had no problems demanding my money though. Went to strictly telemedicine appointments and no longer have to deal with the rude, obnoxious know-it-all secretaries that know absolutely NOTHING about being decent human beings

If I could give them a negative I would. This doctor's office was overcharging on copays and was filing false insurance claims on 3 of my children and I. Don't go here. This office is under an investigation.

My granddaughter went here for 4yrs, Jessica the PA SWORE my granddaughters heart mummer was GONE, these folks recieved her records from the pediatric cardiologist and I only saw Hawkins 2xs during this 4yr s. The first time he saw her he said how long has she had this heart mummer, my husband spoke up and said since birth. Jessica said it was no longer there. Lol she swore everytime she was fine. I changed dr. Cause Jessica is a flake, the first visit a week ago my granddaughter was referred to a cardiologist and now we are going to shands because my baby has a serious heart condition that your PA PASTED OFF AS NOTHING. Shes only there for the money and doesnt care at all. The only reason I even gave a star is cause i had to to write this review and i will be consulting an attorney. What you did to my baby was wrong....
