List of Leonard Lado's Reviews
I have known Dr. Lado for years. He is one of the most knowledgeable psychiatrists I have ever met. He's keeping my depression, anxiety and PTSD at bay.
Dr. Lado has made a huge impact on my life and the best psychiatrist I’ve ever had. I first met Dr. Lado in the willow where I was there for rehabilitation and he works as the psychiatrist and evaluates the patients. I’ve been clean for over 2 years now and still see him every month. I started smoking weed and taking pills at 16 way before your frontal lobe is developed, I’m 24 now. I know some people may laugh but weed put me in a state of psychosis and does to some people when they start smoking at an early age. I’ve haven’t smoked for 2 years now and drugs don’t control my life anymore. Dr. Lado is in-tuned with modern medicine. His wait times used to be long for a while but its not anymore.
man is overworked First of all, this man has like 3 different jobs, so you have to wait literally more than an hour to have a scheduled, virtual appointment. one of his jobs is working at a rehab. he regularly has meetings where he talks to the group and refers to them as 'cattle.' also freely talks about how an apocalyptic disaster is going to happen within 10 years because every 200 years or so the planet wipes itself out? his theory specifically is that for just a moment the earth is gonna spin in the opposite direction, therefore the oceans will flood us 'just like the city Atlantis.' also talks about aliens? to drug addicts? this guy is just certifiably delusional.
Be Careful with Dr. Lado My experience with Dr. Lado was pretty disappointing. He seemed caught up in his accomplishments and acted like he knew everything. Instead of taking the time to understand my situation, he mostly relied on some technology he developed himself, which felt more like a sales pitch than actual care. What threw me off was when he tried to convince me to travel back to my home state to reconnect with my family. He confidently told me that I’d be greeted by my daughter at the airport holding a rose—like he could predict the future. Of course, that didn’t happen, and it made me question how seriously he was taking my situation. What’s also concerning is how many local connections he has with facilities and providers. It makes you wonder if there are financial incentives involved, especially since it seems like he’s been benefiting from these relationships for decades. Honestly, it felt more like he was focused on making money than genuinely helping people.
Lado was more than half an hour late to all of my appointments. He prescribed me a controlled ADHD medication despite me not having ADHD in an attempt to help with an unrelated eating disorder. After the medication gave me extreme anxiety, I asked to stop taking it. Lado then proceeded to try prescribing the same medication again during my next appointment. I believe that is dangerous and negligent.
Combat Veteran Survival Therapy I fully respect Dr. Lado's skills and abilities. He embraces new approaches to treatment including using DNA testing for physiological acceptance of specific pharmaceuticals. Now the Veterans Administration has adopted DNA testing for pharmaceuticals. He embraces new technologies that are advance of standard practices. Salute. If you truly want a get well plan call upon Lado Healing Institute to guide you on a healthy life journey.
Money hungry, doesn't really care, and always late! That was my experience!!
During my first visit to Dr Lado, he never took his eyes off his computer. He said the meds I was on were inappropriate and questioned who put me on them. The DNA test done directed him to discontinue one med (I was on a large dose) and decrease the other. He added a new one. Over the next 2 weeks I became more and more depressed. My next appointment was on zoom (no instructions were provided). I waited 40 min and had to reschedule. The next day he was 60 min late. He spent all of 3 min with me. He sent a prescription in that I’d already told him my insurance wouldn’t cover and I could not afford, $2,000/month. I called the office & asked to speak with him again. He never responded. He is an arrogant man without any compassion. Stay far away from the Lado “Healing” Institute.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
