Victor Luna's Online Review Report Card

The management of his office is HORRIBLE. The Staff can't seem to answer the phone nor return messages This didn't happen once....it has happened consistently over 12 months..... (I take no pleasure in writing negative review of this office). I have seen Dr Luna and I truly feel sorry for him having had to deal with the inept staff. I have had to drive to the office to schedule an appt. or talk to someone. I wish Dr. Luna nothing but the best on his retirement and feel sad that the community will be loosing such a wonderful Dr.

Can someone please tell me where Dr Luna is now practicing? He is no longer with NCH and no one seems to know how I can reach his office….please someone email me if possible onecall.cheryl@gmail.com. I’m out of my synthroid and can’t find a doctor that will take my insurance or has any records of my meds for the past year…need to find his office asap! He was the best!

Just came from Dr. Luna office, like always i had a fantastic visit, He answers all my questions, I always have them, Thyroid has been a problem of my since I was 12 years old, it is 57 years dealing with doctors who didnt care. or just took the tsh count as liable. Synthroid doesnt alway change your T4 into T3. Dr Luna listen and explained, I am now taking a T3 pill also, I feel great after 57 years. He listens and cares .

Dr. Luna cancelled my last two appointments at the last minute. His willingness or ability to care for my needs as a patient are no longer part of his mantra. He obviously has no concern that diabetic patients are required to see their physician every three months. Now my diabetic supplies are no longer available to me. I made his office aware of this when they called to cancel my appointment. They did not care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Luna for well over 10yrs. He had to change practices a few weeks ago. Since that change of practice there has been a very negative change in his ability to positively treat and work with me as his patient. I called his office and dictated exactly what my needs were for my insulin. The pharmacy notified me that the insulin he prescribed was not what I had requested (one that I had been using for over 30 years). His office did not alert me to his change. His office called me just over a week ago and informed me that my upcoming appointment with him was cancelled. As all diabetics and their Doctors are aware, Medicare requires patients to be seen every three months in order to have their prescriptions filled. I made his office aware of this but that made no difference to them. Unfortunately, because of the seeming indifference shown by Dr. Luna and his office staff, I am going to need to change physicians. I thought I had a very good rapport with Dr. Luna after all these years but his change of treatment approach and his disassociation with his patients has allowed me to see the need to move on.

I was unable to get my lab work done since someone on Dr luna’s staff put the wrong first name on my lab order….also had the wrong code for a lipid panel another time (had to pay $90) unnecessarily. They don’t answer the phones nor return messages left. I decided to find another endocrinologist. There is no trust for how they run the office.

My wife and I were professionally in the medical field for many years. I am a diabetic who moved here to FL. I was looking for an Endocrinologist who would be able to provide care in this discipline. Dr Luna is a caring, knowledgeable, professional who treats his patients with utmost respect. I am very pleased that I found such a professional to help me. Further his office staff is OUTSTANDING!

Dr. Luna has proved to be an excellent and caring doctor. He has provided very thorough service for me for seven years. I have followed him to an alternate location. He listens and offers the best treatment plan.

The Front Staff at Dr. Lina's office are not very reliable. Very difficult to get through on the phone and not good at record keeping. My Office Records request was ignored until I contacted the Dep't of Health at the State Level. Then, Dr. Luna finally released the records. A patient should not have to go to this degree, in order to obtain records. For Dr. Luna, he was unable to get my thyroid correct. He consistently gave me NP Thyroid knowing all along the manufacturer of this medication had many re-calls, and telling me the company was going "downhill" ! I will not return.

DOES NOT FOLLOW FLORIDA REGULATIONS. REQUESTED MEDICAL RECORDS BY CERTIFIED MAIL, USING NCH'S REQUEST FORM AS WELL. TWO MONTHS PASSED AND DR. LUNA DID NOT RELEASE RECORDS UNTIL A COMPLAINT WAS FILED WITH FLORIDA STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH. AFTER THAT HE WAS VERY FAST TO COMPLY. ALWAYS ASK FOR COPIES OF YOUR OFFICE NOTES. YOU WILL BE SURPRISED AS TO WHAT YOU TELL HIM AND WHAT HE WRITES ! HE MISSED A SERIOUS ENDOCRINE PROBLEM I HAVE, DENYING IT OVER AND OVER. A DOCTOR AT SLOAN KETTERING IN NEW YORK CITY CONFIRMED IT. DR LUNA DELAYED MY PROPER TREATMENT AND CAUSED ME UNNECESSARY SUFFERING. I SUPPOSE LITIGATION IS NEXT.
