Online Reviews Breakdown
List of Catherine Garcia's Reviews
No dosage review, no online portal. Difficult to leave messages, could not understand messages. Phone system poor.
this office is run by a bunch of inept people. the doctor cancelled my husbands appointment and didn’t tell him until he got there then he rescheduled and was 7 min late and they wouldn’t take him. they had no problem Inconveniencing him but sure as heck if you went ahead and are little bit late they wouldn’t make an exception. definitely find a different doctor you can only imagine how bad she is if her staff is this way.
This rating is for the entire office since I've only seen Dr Garcia 3 times in the past 5 years because it's nearly impossible to get in with her. Unless you schedule a follow up 6-8 months in advance, you will never see Dr Garcia; you will always get scheduled with a PA.Phone hold times are ridiculous. Calling your on your 30 min lunch break? Don't even bother. You will be on hold for over 30 minutes every single time. Office is open from 8AM-5PM however, phones are not turned on until 9AM. Phones are closed from 12-2PM for lunch and then turned again off 15-20 minutes before closing. For the ones that work a typical 9-5 job and can't be on the phone too long, you really have to plan when your going to call and pray that by the grace of God you get through the 1st time. Office still lives in the dino ages. Next MD portal is a joke. You cannot make appointments on the portal and any messages you send the office will sit there forever, unread. Apparently they don't communicate via inbox either. They cannot see any of your visits from urgent care. Oh and if you don't loose those 5 lbs they 'coach you about' you will be marked as non compliant and every time you bring up your symptoms, they will be brushed off and be blamed on those 5 lbs. You could have cancer or tumors w all the symptoms but you will never get the right workup for it since you didn't loose those 5 lbs first. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for your health needs.
Dr. Garcia is a competent Physician, but her staff is difficult to deal with. I had a hip replacement 6 weeks ago and made an appt with Dr. Garcia For today at !:15. Since a few weeks had passed and and the office had not sent a request to confirm, I called early in the morning and left a message asking if my appt was still OK and to call me if there was a change. There was no call so I arrived 15 minutes before my appt. I asked if they received my call. I was told if I wanted to confirm, I should have called the day before. I sat and waited then was called to the window by another staff member and learned that the doctor is only in the office 2 days a week and today was not one of them. I advised her that I called early this morning and asked for call back if there was a change.. She said they called. I told her that I was at home all morning waiting and had not received a call. I said a 30 second call could have saved me forty minutes driving. Her reply was rude and I quote, "do you want to reschedule or not??" I said not. There's enough angst in my life without having conflict with a medical staff.
This physician does not return calls for appointments and and lacks thoroughness in assessing patient's complaints. Applied limited range of appropriate interventions. Failed to apprize patient of increased risk risk of developing shingles. in;givimisinformationregRding timing of depression
Very nice, staff was great. Took care of my issue and great follow up.
Awful. No call back after 4 calls and a month has gone by. 6 months prior I had concerns on my blood work that were not brought to my attention. I had to read them and compare to the latest bloodwork myself. Still no explanation for the results or call back. They should be ashamed to call themselves doctors.
Dr. Garcia and staff are the best dr. i ever had, She is great!
I like Dr. Garcia but HATE her staff. You can't get an appointment, call back, talk to a person, or any other help. So her secretary basically makes her completely ineffective.
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! There is a reason Dr. Garcia can see new patients right away. Not only will she have a diagnosis before any test results come in, but when they do, she will ask you to read them to her. She prescribed a medication and forgot why on the next visit. She's aloof, condescending, explains basic things over and over again like she's talking to a child and, most infuriating of all, recommends expensive ongoing treatments before exploring basic, common alternatives. To be honest, I believe she's more interested in generating recurring revenue than she is at treating my condition. Also, it's very odd, the office staff all have "Secretary of" in their titles like it's 1952 there. Oh, and you will get a "Patient Compliance Contract"...if you don't sign off on that...your prescriptions will get suspended. THIS IS A PASS. TRIED LEAVING NO STARS IN MY REVIEW BUT REQUIRED TO LEAVE AT LEAST ONE...

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
