Doctor spent time reviewing medical records and ordered blood tests. He was thorough, caring and knowledgeable. BUT, no followup communication after that from the office staff. Have switched to another gastro and so far, so good.

Been my GI physician for years. Had routine endoscopy and colonoscopy and when I woke up in recovery, I was told by nurse that my heart and breathing stopped 3 times. No explanation or cause given to me! Now I’m left to be fearful for any further procedures and I’ve had GI issues for years.

I have been a patient of Dr McGuire’s for many years. His reputation is wonderful and my experience with him and his office has been wonderful. He has skill, experience, and a down to earth forthright manner. His office staff has been accessible and cooperative.

My issues with Dr McQuire is about his front office staff and his lack of follow-up Very difficult to have a doctor who is unaccessible

I am a patient of Dr. McGuire for 10 years and really needed help with a serious gastro problem. I was treated abominably by the office, the nurse practitioner and the doctor's assistant who never got back to me. This inability to receive any help went on for weeks until I had to find another doctor. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

Dr McGuire was my moms doctor and she developed a swallowing problem while under his care and he wrote her off when she needed the most help and was losing a significant amount of weight.He only allowed me to speak to him by phone 1 time for advice and his staff often questioned me and my mom regarding wanting to speak to Dr McGuire and did not let us talk to him. He and his med assistant, Mattie, showed no empathy, compassion or concern for my mom who was under weight and struggling to eat! I would not recommend this dr to anyone!

I had to find another gastro Doctor as Dr. Maguire was not attentive in regards to my situation. I had to practically beg to get a MRI. After the results came in and did not show that there was any cancer, he was done with me. I still was experiencing pain. I went to another Doctor who did not give up until I received a diagnosis. I would definitely not recommend Dr. Maguire.

I have been seeing Dr. Mcguire for many years. I found him to be warm ,kind , compassionate . very well focused as well as a brilliant Doctor. Through the years he has helped me and my wife during many difficult times. I trust him with my life. His staff is very helpful.

He’s terrific

I have been a patient of Dr. McGuire for about 8 years. He is a lovely, caring physician. However, when I tried to schedule an appointment because I was having continuing issues and needed to see him I was given an appointment 6 weeks away. I was offered an appointment with the PA, but explained that this is an on-going problem Dr. McGuire has been trying to help me with and I needed to see him. They would do nothing. I called each week to see if there was a cancellation, but was rudely told there was not. I finally gave up and went to another gastroenterologist. It saddened me as I felt Dr. McGuire is an excellent physician. I went so far as to drop off a note at the office addressed to him, but never received a reply. What good is a doctor who refuses to see one of his patients who really needs him. No, it was not an emergency. However, it was certainly a situation which could not wait 6 weeks for an appointment with my doctor for a problem.
