Frederick Tackey, Md's Online Review Report Card

Terrible experience, I made an online appointment and when I arrived they didn’t even have me scheduled. I was told my insurance requires a prior approval before they can see me which is incorrect. I explained they are reading it wrong and I even called my insurance company who told them it is not needed. They wanted it in writing so I sat there for longer waiting. After an hour and a half I decided to leave. I will make an appointment with a qualified office. The office was outdated, staff chairs falling apart, not a pleasant smell. Nothing good to say. Can’t say anything about the doctor because I never got to meet him, maybe that was the positive part. Don’t recommend at all.

I would give zero stars. Tackey is a typically lazy and unresponsive Florida doctor. they illegally refuse to give you your own medical information. they don't answer the phone and they don't keep appointments. an absolutely awful experience. stay far away. His receptionist is rude, when she answers, which is not always the case. they have bad policies. they will only release info if you come to the office, regardless if you live in another state now. Completely unprofessional. STAY AWAY

Very thorough exam.asked lots of questions...very caring...have gone to several pulmonary drs and dr tackey is by far the best...

He was the most thorough pulmonary dr i have seen. Lots of questions..did not feel rushed or like i was in an assembly line...truly caring...ordered a ct chest scan which no other dr ever did. Just feel very confident with this dr.

I think ancient posts need to be removed. I have always been respectful of the front office and they returned the same level of respect. They have always accommodated me with the utmost understanding and care. The doctor is so patient and caring. Very thoughtful of my needs. He understood me from the first visit. He saw me through a rough patch. He tested me for any possible cause for my distress without hesitation and I appreciated that so much. Together we were able to eliminate and manage my issues. His follow ups is what got me through.

This is the worst service that I've had from any provider that I've ever seen in my life. I went there to get a sleep study done in February and they sent me to JFK to pick up the sleep equipment, JFK told me that they didn't send over a fax with my information. I called back and they told me they did it again and the back and forth went on for two months. They didn't send the fax to JFK. Finally I got them to send the information to an online company, and I did the sleep study and shipped the equipment back within one week. The company confirmed receipt and informed me that I should hear back from Dr Tackey's office soon. I called every week for a month and the front desk told me that they haven't received any information back from the company. The company told me that they sent it a month ago. Finally after several calls, I was told to come in for another appointment. At that appointment the doctor told me that the information was back over a month ago and that the front desk should've scheduled me, but they lied or they're incompetent at their jobs. After that appointment, the doctor wrote a prescription that was to be sent by the same front desk to Lincare for me to get my sleep equipment and I'm still getting the runaround by the front desk. Giving nasty attitudes and a new story everytime I called. Last time I called they told me that they can't receive the fax from Lincare, so they're sending someone to pick it up, today, she told me that she's waiting for an email from Lincare. What email exactly, because Lincare told me that they are waiting on the correct prescription from the doctor so they can send out my equipment. It's not just the doctor's fault, the people at the front desk are incompetent. Avoid at all cost. I just ask for my medical records and I know that it will be like pulling teeth getting it. This may have to result in a lawsuit and may have to look into malpractice.

Terrible front desk receptionists. They don’t even try to pretend they care. My mother is extremely sick and needs to be seen, has tried to get through to this office for 2 months and they continuously stated they haven’t received a referral after it being sent multiple times. They don’t answer the phones and have it hooked up to the answering services during business hours even when they’re not busy. My mother had an appointment today and granted, the copy of her ID is a printed copy there’s never been a single doctors office for YEARS that would turn her away because you can absolutely still read everything on the printed copy. The lady at the front desk today (03/31/25 @2pm) claimed that she can’t read it and they won’t see her. So now she has to wait even longer for an appointment since she now HAS to go get an updated ID which could take an additional 2-4 weeks just to wait for a DMV appointment, then waiting even more time afterwards to schedule the soonest appointment available at the doctor. If something happens to her, a lawsuit is coming.

I have never met a dr who cares less about his patients than Tackey! And his staff is worse than him! This man & his staff should not be allowed in the healthcare business! Very rude people who do not follow through with proper health care.

Dr. Tackey, I have never seen such a RUDENESS AND DISRESPECTFUL, person in my life. Telling me the reason that I'm overweight it's because probably I eat too much rice and fry pork or burgers and fries on front of my son. I left your office crying 😢. I struggle with my weight for along time I don't eat junk food not every one eat fry pork. Since I got home I closed myself in my room. Just remember Dr. Tackey everyone through something in life I will never forget that day 07/23/2024 you're first Dr. whoever brought tears in my eyes. And you didn't even apologize.

We float between 9 hospitals trying to get my wife the best help possible. Dr. Tackey takes care of her better than any other admitting doctor
