Henry Friedman's Online Review Report Card

This review is regarding the office staff and policy NOT the Dr. himself. I called to make my established 5 year old an appointment. I was told NO, due to the fact that I cancelled 4 times. Called and cancelled prior to 24hrs. Not a no show, a reschedule! She rattled off THREE dates Oct 2019, April 2020, Nov 2020. Appointments here are made 6 months in advance. For children. Things happen, work demands, sniffles, sore throats (mind you we were in a Pandemic year) I know that he is a sought after Dr but the arrogance of this policy is appalling.

Love dr Friedman. Cannot stand the wait time. It makes no sense to me how it’s acceptable to wait over an hour with young kids under 5. I tried to bring this up nicely with the front desk. I was told point blank by them: “it is what it is if you get out of here under an hour consider yourself lucky”. I asked if they know they r running late which they are every time, if a courtesy call could be given to patients following. They said “no we have no time for that”. Being in healthcare myself, I just don’t understand how this is ok. :(. I’m looking for someone else :(.

Really long wait times.

Dr. Friedman and staff are so rude, arrogant, and should be ashamed of how awful they treat their patients. He does not truly care about his patients, they are just numbers to him. AVOID this man and his practice at all costs. Contrary to what he and his staff thinks, there ARE other pediatric ophthalmologist in the surrounding areas of South Florida who know a lot more about treating their patients respectfully.

I had a procedure to treat strabisbus and it did nothing for me. I had large out of pocket expenses.

Without a doubt, Dr. Friedman is the most attentive and best eye physician there is. He is thorough, has a great bedside manner and truly has his patients best interest at hand. My son is 2 yrs old and has been going to him since he was a week old for cataract treatment and surgery at 5 weeks old. I could not have asked for a better physician for my son and our family. He is the best!

Love, love, love him and the assistants! They are AMAZING with children! My 19 mo old had an appt with Dr. Friedman and I also have a 6 week old that I brought with me. He and his staff were so kind, friendly, and helpful! Their office works like a well oiled machine! Dr. Friedman is so good! He gets right to it and has the BEST bedside manner!

a little bit of a wait, but when you want to be seen by a good doctor it happens 🤷🏽‍♀️

I took my 8 year old son to an eye doc because he was complaining of not seeing at school. They gave him glasses for reading only. 4 months later he failed the eye exam at school with his new glasses on! I took him to another eye doc who said his prescription was wrong and that he could only see 20/100 with glasses on and referred us here. Dr. Friedman have him a new prescription (3rd in one year for my poor son) and we did patch therapy for his newly diagnosed amblyopia. Four months later my son is now 9 years old and 20/25 in both eyes! We followed his directions and within 4 months my son can see! I am super appreciative of the time he spent with us, the proper diagnosis and plan of action. I was pretty worried through all of this. My son is enjoying reading much more now and his sports game has kicked up a notch as well. Dr. Friedman has been exceptional!
