This doctor saved my life, marrage and career. OLD SCHOOL HANDS ON MEDICINE. I wish there was a contact or recommendation for his predecessor. To loose his knowledge and style is a hard hit to the individuals who suffer from chronic pelvic pain!
Dr. Weiss is a God in my opinion. I have had chronic pelvic pain for 4.5 years, I've tried everything. Three surgeries for endometriosis and scar tissue, etc. but they only made the pain worse. I saw a top notch physical therapist for 3-4 years, but it didn't help.I started working with Dr. Weiss one year ago in June 2016, and he is the ONLY medical professional I've seen that's provided any pain relief. He is a miracle worker, and I adore him. He's gentle, and a true gentleman, incredibly smart, but above all, he LISTENS to the patient, and he is the sweetest man I have had the pleasure of working with. I've seen so many doctors who just don't care enough to dig deeper to help me. He will help from day one. Highly, highly recommend.
If you're reading this, I'm so sorry that you've been dealing with this condition. It's extremely complex, frustrating, and it can make you feel like your life might become permanently damaged. I wish you the best of luck. If you feel hopeless, I strongly suggest you find a way to see Dr. Weiss or, if it's just not practical geographically or financially, find someone who has learned from him.If there were a michelin star rating for doctors, Dr. Weiss's office is a 3-star restaurant. It's not even possible to overstate how incredible my experience has been. I've had my share of medical issues over the years, and I've seen some extremely highly-regarded doctors. But even then, Dr. Weiss and staff are in a league of their own. It is the finest medical experience I've ever had. This is a not a doctor who quickly tries to see as many patients as possible, make his best guess as to what each person's problem is, and then prescribes treatment. This is a scientist and artist who has dedicated his entire career to reasoning about each person individually from first principles. It has led him to embrace eastern and western medicine. He is obsessive about finding the root cause of your problem (i.e. actually fixing you) rather than providing band-aid solutions. Your root CPPS problem could be so far from anything you had even considered that it will shock you when you find out what conclusions his expertise, experience, and raw brain power leads to. The bottom line is that if you want to solve your CPPS problem, this is as good as it gets. Good luck to you - I'm sorry you're dealing with this painful nightmare of a condition. There is always hope :)
One of the best decisions I've ever made was to see Dr. Weiss. After a bad spine injury I had a lot of problems especially going to the bathroom it really hurt. This was a tough thing to talk about with anyone I saw a few local doctors, Urologyst, specialist and physical therepist that could not help one diagnosed it well but was unable to treat the pain and issues I was having. One day I opened up about this to my chiropractor Barbara Berkeley who was a Legandary chiropractor who was know for making people that couldn't walk get back on their feet. When I spoke to Dr. Weiss he was extreamly understanding like no other. When he did the first exam he found the issue and after the first visit I felt a huge diffrence. Dr. Weiss and his physical therepist Christina are still treating me and making a big difference in getting over a tough injury. The ladies in his office are great too always getting back to me if I leave messages when the office is closed and getting back to me about available appointments wich is important for me having tough work schedule.
Dr. Weiss has changed my life and I have only been to him 3x so far. He is very professional, compassionate, and has a grest bedside manner. I am a 26 year old Registered Nurse that has been suffering with 'vulvodynia' for some 'unknown' reason for 2 years. I have had multiple pap smears, testing, and I have even done pelvic floor therapy. Nothing was helping me. On my first visit with Dr. Weiss he found that I have pudendal neuralgia. I am so happy to have found the reason behind all of this after two years of not knowing. If you are having pelvic pain, this is the doctor you want to go see. It is so worth the travel and the money. Thank you so much Dr. Weiss!
First off, I have to apologize for not posting this sooner. Like Jacqueline Z, I'm not a patient of Dr. Weiss, but my Mom is. Like Kelli P., my Mom has pudendal nerve damage. After many (wrong) diagnoses from hemorrhoids (that couldn't be seen) to IBS and her having to deal with the pain for years (and being told to ride an exercise bike), it was a fluke that led her to Dr. Weiss. Her Gastroenterologist referred her to a Spine/Pain Management clinic. At her first visit, Dr. Mark Sontag, told my Mom that he couldn't help her but knew who could, and gave us Dr. Weiss' name and phone number. All the ladies in the office - Grace, Linda, and Pat are wonderful, and so is Kristi (PT). They know how my Mom's feeling just by looking at her when we arrive. And Dr. Weiss, well, he's just a god-send; warm, caring, patient, encouraging, and all-around wonderful. She no longer rides that exercise bike since Dr. Weiss explained how the seat creates pressure on the nerve and makes the pain worse. Because of all the medications my Mom is sensitive or allergic to, treatment has taken longer, but she continues to improve, and that never would have happened without Dr. Weiss and The Pacific Center for Pelvic Pain & Dysfunction. I whole-heartedly agree with Christy T., that EVERY women's health doc and urologist should have a mandatory internship with him!
Dr Weiss and his staff were amazing. After seeing countless doctors regarding my condition with no luck, Dr. Weiss was able to diagnose and treat me. Finally! answers to my many years of searching.
I'm reviewing this for my friend because he is too lazy. Sometime ago he broke his tailbone snowboarding with me. After his tailbone healed he still had nerve damage in his coccyx. It was so bad that he had to make a custom toilet paper roll seat to relieve the pain. He saw Dr. Weiss and is now 95% and is back on the snowboard. Unfortunately, his snowboarding style is still extremely awkward. I'm seeing Dr. Weiss due to pain when sitting which Dr Weiss attributes to years of cycling. I've only seen him twice but I'm very impressed with his bedside manner and staff. Of course I'll post on my results when and if I have them.
Dr. Jerome, Kristi, and staff are kind and extremely competent. Dr. Weiss is a gem of a doctor. He truly cares about his patients, and he doesn't rush anything. You always feel like he is present when he is with you. He focuses on the whole person instead of just the problem. 1,000 time recommended.
In short, Dr. Weiss, Cristi(PT), and the office staff are the best I have encountered at ANY doctor's office. After 20 years of struggling with an injury and related symptoms that were misdiagnosed and mistreated repeatedly, I was referred to the Pacific Center for Pelvic Pain. Through my travels, I've learned that this part of the body is grossly misunderstood by most Urologists, PT's, etc. I'd all but lost hope - I really thought I'd just have to deal with the pain and discomfort for the next 40+ years. Thankfully, Dr Weiss recognized that there was a very underserved and significant number of patients struggling with this sort of dysfunction and invested in developing the proper treatments. After the first few sessions, I could see a marked improvement and I'm as hopeful as ever that my I'll see huge gains from my time there. That makes him really good. What makes him and this practice GREAT is the way they treat patients. I've learned not to expect much sensitivity or even a willingness to LISTEN from most doctors. Sadly, a good bedside manor and friendly/conscientious staff are the exception, rather than the rule. Dr. Weiss and Cristi are both incredibly thorough but also warm and thoughtful. The ladies who run the office consistently go the extra mile to accommodate patients and are a joy to talk to. I could continue to gush but I think you get the point. There's no other place for you if need help in this area.
