List of Veronica Motiram's Reviews
Truly an amazing doctor. I’ve been going here for years and I very much appreciate Dr. Motiram. She is a great psychiatrist and incredibly caring and personal. I’ve never felt like she has rushed my appointments and she really takes the time to understand me.
I am writing to you with the utmost respect to express my deep dissatisfaction and sadness regarding the care I received during the three years I was a patient of Dr. Veronica. During that time, my appointments rarely lasted more than five minutes. The doctor would simply ask, “How are you?” and if I replied, “Good,” she would respond, “Okay, I’ll send your medication to the pharmacy,” and the visit would end there. When I tried to be honest and said that I wasn’t feeling well or that I felt depressed, her response was to increase my dosage and tell me that I needed to make more of an effort. In December of last year, I suffered a relapse. On December 3rd, I asked her to please extend my medical leave from work for a few more days, but she said she could only give me three because more time could negatively affect my work reputation. I accepted her decision, thinking she was the professional, even though I didn’t truly feel better. From that moment on, out of fear of being judged, scolded, or having my medications withheld, I began lying to her by saying I was fine. For months I kept everything inside until September 8th, 2025, when I reached a point where I couldn’t take it anymore and attempted to end my life. Thankfully, my parents found me in time and took me to West Boca Delray Medical Center, where I was hospitalized for nearly a week. That experience made me realize how many psychiatrists, unfortunately, treat their patients as just another number. When I was discharged on September 11th, I went back to see Dr. Veronica and told her everything that had happened. Instead of showing empathy or compassion, she reacted with anger and disappointment. She told me that what I had done was selfish, that I wasn’t thinking about my daughter, my reputation, or hers. She also said that “because of the affection she had for me,” she would not remove me from her care. Those words hurt deeply, as what I needed most at that moment was understanding, not judgment. I don’t need a degree in psychiatry to understand that my suicide attempt was not out of selfishness, but out of desperation — a desire to stop the unbearable mental pain I had been carrying for years. I love my daughter deeply, and I know what I did was not right, but I expected at least a little human compassion from my psychiatrist. That day, I left her office crying and immediately called my father in Colombia. He listened to me, comforted me, and reminded me of my worth. Thanks to his support and my faith in Jesus, I have been able to find some peace and keep moving forward. Today, I am seeing a new psychiatrist — a truly compassionate and professional doctor who takes the time to listen and understand me. Our first appointment lasted almost two hours. He is a doctor with genuine vocation, deep knowledge, and above all, love for his work beyond the money. With this testimony, I do not wish to harm Dr. Veronica. I simply hope that this message serves as a reflection and that God opens her heart and mind so that she can provide her patients with the empathy and humane care they deserve.
August 25, 2025: I spoke with Dr. Motiram’s staff after my initial appointment with the physician. I went to a Psychologist in order to determine my adult ADD evaluation instead of their in office machine testing which they wanted to charge $200 out of pocket. I followed up with the staff after my three hour evaluation from my psychologist the following week. The level of unprofessionalism and condescending attitude is insurmountable. When the administrative staff speaks to your patients with the high amount of contempt when your patient is asking for assistance on specifics of what was written from Dr. Motiram indicating to the psychologist “Psychological Evaluation for ADD” is certainly unprecedented. The office of Dr. Motiram did not specially state what testing is required by the office for adult ADD. The script only stated “Psychological Evaluation for ADD”. I had a written letter of evaluation by the board certified psychologist who performed a three hour evaluation to determine my status of evaluation of ADD. The staff in a condescending attitude Are you a physician? We have a machine on site to test for our specific requirements. Some patients do not want to be tested on a machine for $200.00 out of pocket and would prefer a Psychologist to evaluate our condition. My psychologist called into the office the same week to assist me with getting a hold of Dr. Motiram and the office staff left him on hold for 25 plus minutes. I went to get a second opinion with another psychiatrist where the administrative staff are highly professional caring for their patients. Note: The Psychiatrist Dr. Motiram is professional with my appointment with the physician. It is solely my terrible experience with the administrative staff that I write this review.
The office staff isn't the best . Dr motiram does not spend a lot of time with me. I've tried to explain certain symptoms but she tells me she'll try 'this or that' medication that we've already tried in the past. So I don't feel heard. She did push klonapin when I started but I chose to discontinue it. My pcp was prescribing me anti psychotics for depression and I met with her and was a mess. She took me off all of them and told me to come back in 6 weeks (and I need medication) I had to make a sooner appointment crying. She did listen to an extent and prescribed me correct medication. I constantly tell her about my sleep problems and she just tells me to try magnesium, Benadryl, I keep telling her it doesn't work. She's switched sleep medication over and over (like doxapine, to now elavil) elavil doesn't help now but im scared to tell her because I've been on a lot of different medications for sleep and she keeps trying to prescribe me stuff I've tried in the past. I don't want to sound like I'm seeking medication but this sleep is brutal.
Dr. Motiram is the best. She’s professional, thorough, and an expert. She’s brought back from the brink by providing great insight and empowering me to make better decisions. I am living a healthier more balanced life because of her care.
Dr. Motiram is a very professional doctor who cares about her parents. She is clear, direct, and supportive.
I do not recommend this doctor. I could not work at my job with the prescribe medication.
The most put together and efficient phychiatric doctor/ office you will ever visit. She is concise and gets you balanced. I highly recommend her.
While under this provider's management, I was left with a diagnosis for which I have never met any symptoms and placed on pharmaceuticals that were inappropriate for me. Not only was I wrongly diagnosed, mis-medicated and overmedicated, but while on these drugs, I developed health issues that have not yet gone away, several years later. When I reported these issues to this provider, she seemed totally unbothered and would not agree to reduce my dosages even slightly. It took switching to another provider for me to get this help. I am in a much worse condition having gone to this provider, and I consider it one of the worst things I have ever done to myself. I so wish I could go back in time and stop myself.
The doctor suggested I get a second opìnion̈. That was fine with me because she basically said she didn't know how to help me. Her appointment was never longer than five minutes and she never seemed to know who i was.. She wrote the prescriptions and sent me out. I found a new psychiatrist and after a few months, I am doing well.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
