Required a COVID-19 Vaccination to be seen last November 2021. Since she accepts my insurance, she is required to see me with no conditions.
Looking for the best pulmonary care in South Florida it’s not JFK , it’s not Boca, Wellington or Cleveland Clinic it’s Dr Mkono. Local Boynton Beach office nice location. This doctor will sit and listen to you then explain why you’re not correct . Then shows her professional side as she gives an exact description of your problem. Then explains how it needs to be treated. And from my experience she treats and succeeds. Don’t let her small size fool you; it’s pure power and knowledge.
Dr. Wambura N Mkono is one of the rudest doctor i ever met. Unfortunately she was the doctor who was on that day in Bethesda West Hospital. My dad was in critical condition and when i asked her a similar question that my mom had asked she told me she doesn’t have time to repeat. Or maybe i don’t comprehend. Who speaks to a family member like that. I wouldn’t even give her a one star rating.
Dr Mkono should never have the title Dr She is curt rude & does not allow any of my husbands Advocates to speak Even trying to ask a question she rudely speaks when one of us is speaking & only wants to speak herself No questions r answered She just talks & talks ignoring the fact that we & my daughters r trying to understand she just keeps talking She is a despicable person incapable of feeling & should not be working in any hospital I have never met a worse person in my entire life
Spent ten months fighting lung infection; changed to Dr Mkono within a week feeling 100 percent better. Great office crew also . Never breathed easier.
Dr. Mkono is thr best. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable. I'm glad she's my Dr. My asthma has been uncontrollable for years.
Absolutely not!!! I have reqeusted a copy of my cpap prescription and she refuses to provide it to me if I do not come into the office for a visit. She did the sleep study and all I need is a copy of the prescription to get a new cpap machine. I don't understand why she refused to provide my medical records without having to come into the office in these covid times. I am going to contact the authorities that have control and take complaints against doctors. She is being unreasonable and I am thinking all she wants is her fee for the visit which I offered to pay to get the cpap prescription.
I can appreciate that doctors, especially lung specialists are overworked because of Covid, but when a new patient shows up with concerns, I would imagine you put your "rant" on the back burner and do your job. I was told to submit my "paperwork" weeks prior to my appointment. I personally dropped it off and showed up today early. I sat in the waiting room and they came out and took my ID / Insurance and PAYMENT. That would tell me I'm registered and all is well. I went into the Doctor's office who berated me because my paperwork was incomplete -- I asked if there wasn't someone entering the information who would have called me if anything was missing? She said they don't register people until the day of because what if I didn't show up??? (Then why was I required to have my paperwork in weeks earlier?) Then she went on to tell me that I should make a new appointment and that she has a 3 month wait. I explained I had waited 2 months to see her and had a referral specifically for her. She then went on a rant how she isn't going to take anymore referrals, because everything gets backed up and how she doesn't get home until midnight every night because there is a Pandemic... WHICH I AM FULLY AWARE OF... but she berated me on not having my paperwork done and never once asked what my complaint was or why I was there to see her. She literally had me shaking and in tears when I stood up, took the paperwork and ripped it into pieces. I will be writing to the Medical Board and sharing this with anyone who will listen I too have a job that deals with people, but when I do that job I do it with a smile no matter how overworked I might be, or what mood I may be in, and make those people feel like they are the only people in the room. I have never had an experience like this with a medical professional.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
