If I could rate less than one star I would. Told me he didn't think I needed another echo in six months, I should wait another year. I went to another specialist for my condition in NYC, told me my heart was enlarged and left ventricle functioning at only 40%, I would've been entering heart failure in 3 months. Go to someone else!

I met with Dr. Skidmore based on recent Echo results from my general doctor and was very satisfied with our visit. He was very professional, caring and down to earth to speak with. Great bed side manners and made you feel comfortable dealing with health issues. E. Lex

One of my most favorite doctors I’ve ever been to! He was referred to me through my high risk pregnancy and was caring and thorough during it and now after! Great bed side manner and easy to talk to!

Absolutely no problem with this doctor. Just completely frustrated that you cannot make an appointment or speak with anyone for over 30 minutes. Maybe an answering machine would help.

UPDATE...This is now a 1 star review. Unfortunately the doctor cannot be factored in as you will never get to him through his gatekeeper Holly. She by the way, NEVER takes calls (only returns them when specifically told you will NOT be available). I gave her a 3 week head start on a prior auth for my Repatha injection that will be missed today because she cannot properly complete paperwork - 3 way call with insurance company on Friday confirmed that). She literally filled out the paperwork without the medication they are to approve - all she had to correct and still NOT done. I will have to change doctors after my next appointment because I will not have more health issues because of a nurse that cannot do her job. It is a shame because the doctor himself is great. But who he has working for him is a reflection on him, so... I will be very clear in that I am struggling to even give a 4 star review at this point. Holly is Dr. Skidmore's nurse and is unprofessional, rude, condescending, and annoyed if you have concerns about your health. Dr. Skidmore has always been great when I can get in to see him however. After a massive heart attack, I would appreciate answers to meds that haven't been checked since November and tests run as discussed (follow up EKG and echo). I only got a sooner appointment after saying I was going to leave this doctor and was crying (great that Holly pushes heart patients to that level, huh?). I will give this information to the doctor at my appointment and then switch if necessary. This is my life/health. Hopefully I do not end up in the ER between now and then.

Dr. Skidmore is an amazing doctor and does thorough testing to see what's going on. I would give the doctor himself 5 stars. I only took one star off because his nurse Holly came off annoyed with me and had an attitude just because I called with some questions about my results that I did not have a chance to talk about during my appointment.
