One of my most favorite doctors I’ve ever been to He was referred to me through my high risk pregnancy and was caring and thorough during it and now after Great bed side manner and easy to talk to

UPDATE...This is now a 1 star review. Unfortunately the doctor cannot be factored in as you will never get to him through his gatekeeper Holly. She by the way NEVER takes calls only returns them when specifically told you will NOT be available. I gave her a 3 week head start on a prior auth for my Repatha injection that will be missed today because she cannot properly complete paperwork 3 way call with insurance company on Friday confirmed that. She literally filled out the paperwork without the medication they are to approve all she had to correct and still NOT done. I will have to change doctors after my next appointment because I will not have more health issues because of a nurse that cannot do her job. It is a shame because the doctor himself is great. But who he has working for him is a reflection on him so...I will be very clear in that I am struggling to even give a 4 star review at this point. Holly is Dr. Skidmores nurse and is unprofessional rude condescending and annoyed if you have concerns about your health. Dr. Skidmore has always been great when I can get in to see him however. After a massive heart attack I would appreciate answers to meds that havent been checked since November and tests run as discussed follow up EKG and echo. I only got a sooner appointment after saying I was going to leave this doctor and was crying great that Holly pushes heart patients to that level huh?. I will give this information to the doctor at my appointment and then switch if necessary. This is my lifehealth. Hopefully I do not end up in the ER between now and then.

Absolutely no problem with this doctor. Just completely frustrated that you cannot make an appointment or speak with anyone for over 30 minutes. Maybe an answering machine would help.

Dr. Skidmore is an amazing doctor and does thorough testing to see whats going on. I would give the doctor himself 5 stars. I only took one star off because his nurse Holly came off annoyed with me and had an attitude just because I called with some questions about my results that I did not have a chance to talk about during my appointment.

I woke up yesterday a.m. with horrible chest pains.. Dr Skidmore really went out of his way with several tests..Truly cared..Staff was amazing also So grateful 🙏

Im new to the Lakewood Ranch area and needed to develop a Doctor base especially Cardiology. I moved from NJ and had complete confidence in my Cardiology group so there was a certain amount of anxiety finding a new Doc. I saw Doctor Skidmore for the first time today and was thoroughly pleased with the time he spent getting to know me and my cardiac history. Every box you would check to recommend a doc would be checked when it comes to Doctor Skidmore including bedside manor
