Their billing is horrendous. I got an infusion March 2020. They sent to insurance October 2020 then Instead of charging the co pay card I had for the balance. They send me a bill in April 2021. I called them 3 times you need to charge the copay card. I called the copay card Fl cancer specialists didnt provide them with their itemized bill. They send me another bill in May when all they have to do is send an itemized bill to the copay company only they have and run the card. Simple right. No apparently they just like to stress out patients when they could have their money.

I cannot speak more highly of Florida Cancer Center. Dr. Pelayo is my oncologist who from the time I was diagnosed over a year and half ago to today has treated me like a partner. I respect his outstanding expertise and he respects my quest for knowledge when it comes to my rare cancer. Whenever I find out someone else has cancer I want them to go to him.But Dr. Pelayo is not the only outstanding person there the PA’s nursing staff office personal and the oncology nurses are all there to make sure you feel welcomed.When I walk thru the doors at FCS I feel like I am with my family. I am glad I found a place that I don’t hesitate going to even if it means treatment. My cancer is chronic and FCS and I are partners for life.

I have been with them for over 7yrs I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I have nothing but good things to say. The staff the doctor they are all just amazing they treat you with care. To have to be going threw cancer having that kind of care doesn’t change the facts but it sure helps make things easier.

I called to make an appointment for my father. The person who answered the phone was very rude and told me she couldnt make any appointment without a referral from his doctor even though he has a PPO. When I inquired about it she said that is the policy. I promptly contacted Suncoast Cancer Institute in Sarasota where the person at the front desk couldnt have been nicer made an appointment right then and he saw a very knowledgeable doctor. Cancer is scary and if your first phone call is with a rude person who is unhlepful you wont want to go there. I do not recommend this place.
