Izabela Shaw's Online Review Report Card

Love her as a person, but after years as a patient I'm giving up. When I'm acutely ill & need treatment as soon as possible, I'm always told to go to a walk in clinic. What's worse is having to keep calling multiple times for 2 days, to be told by staff they'll talk to Dr. Shaw & call back. Then they don't so I call every 3 hours. All the while I continued to get more ill with a 103° fever. After 24 hours of this, I'm dismissed & told to go to a walk in clinic. Due to years of the same mistreatment I've come to expect that to be the final answer, but why couldn't they tell me that up front rather than let me believe Dr. Shaw might provide treatment? So it was an additional 24 hours without treatment. Now, after reporting new, more chronic symptoms, potentially indicative of a serious illness, I've been relegated to the same dismissive mistreatment & told to use a walk in clinic as my primary care. This isn't standard of care & I feel it's inappropriate for a medical provider.

Dr Shaw is a great doctor, good bedside manners and listens to her patients.

She is very caring and listens well. Highly capable.

Don't even think about seeing this doctor or even working here, she has had so many employees there every time we go, someone new. She treats them like slaves and talks down on them. She closes the door with an employee inside to talk about the others and does the same with everyone. She calls people FAT, UGLY, CRAZY. Trust me you dont want this lady as a doctor. She claims to be christian but goes to church just so her patients can see her and make herself look good. But she is a hypocrite . she is selfish. don't waste your time coming here. No compassion whatsoever although it may seem like she cares she will make the patient feel special and closes the door to tell her employees not to schedule another appointment because she didn't like them. (heard this from a current employee) so sad

I absolutely agree with the other writers she talk down to you she don't want listen to anything you have to say I don't even think she deserves to be call Dr. Before I go and visit this woman I am happy having good time but when you leave out of that office your whole world is turned upside down and then you have to wait two hours just to see the heathen. I do not recommend this lady for anything if I were you I would run and run very fast and don't look back.

Disrespectful don't waste your time going to see this woman she doesn't deserve the title DR.

Dr. Shaw is an amazing doctor!

I am very unhappy with the medical treatment at Dr Shaws's office. I have repeatedly, over a 3 year period have to sit and wait for the referral to come in to the specialists office. The request was put in to Dr Shaw's office at the time I made the appointment with the specialist. I called the day before to remind them and was told that it had been sent. I get to the office and no referral has been received. This has happened to me with x-ray appointments and other doctor's as well. The people that run the front end office blatantly lie to me that it was done. There is a frequent turnover of staff at the Valrico office. I feel that they just want to squeeze in as many patients as they can every day; but do not really care about providing good medical care. I am looking for another primary care physician.
