I have been going to this facility for almost a year now. I had two knee replacements. I was always treated with respect by all the staff members. My doctor J. Harkess and his team are the best. He takes his time with you & answered all my questions. I would highly recommend anyone to see Dr. Harkess.

Long wait time until I was able to see the Dr. seemed a bit rushed.

I had hurt my knee on our tile floor and wanted to have it checked before damaging it more. My doctor referred me to Dr. Harkess. They were able to email me the basic information to fill out prior so I only had to sign a couple documents when I got there.Coastal Orthopedics is a large facility with X-Ray and MRI performed internally. They brought me in at the time of my appointment, took information about my problem and had the room prepped for the doctor to come in. They took me down for X-Rays and had those on the screen in the room. The doctor came in shortly afterwards.Dr. Harness is very knowledgeable, professional and kind. He was very engaging on showing me what was going on with my knee on the X-Rays. He took his time explaining possible issues. I was given a cortisone shot and if the problem isn’t resolved in 6 weeks to call for another appointment. It was a great first step in getting me back on both feet!The idea of going to to a orthopedic doctor was scary. I had arthroscopic surgery 16 years ago on both knees and was afraid what they might find. But working with Dr. Harkess and staff are wonderful. They are thorough and make sure there is a problem before going to major work. I appreciated how they all worked with me and my knee. I definitely recommend Dr. Harkess and his staff. I would go back to them without any hesitation knowing they will work with me to get better.

I was a patient a few years ago and absolutely had immediate respect for Dr Arthur Valadie. Then met his brother Allen couple of years later which increased my attitude. Allen was my hero in assisting me with my brother..I will never forget his act of humanity. Recently I shattered my hip and selected LWR Hospital because I knew Coastal Orthopedics uses the facility. While I was in and out of consciousness Dr Harkess quickly introduced himself to me and I was immediately calmed. I m in my late 60's and I'm smiling everyday with the results of the staff and my less than 2 month recovery! Thank you Coastal!

It was my Moms first appointment and everything went very smoothly. In and out in under an hour including getting her knees xrayed . The staff was very friendly and I would recommend them highly

I called one day. Was seen,x-rayed and treated the next. Was very pleased with all staff. Nurse, Sarah & Dr. Harkess were so thorough and reassuring. Now to see if it works.
