Dr. Otte preformed a reverse shoulder arthroplasty on my right shoulder. I had very little pain for 4 days afterwards. I am now pain free. I am also able to turn my neck all the way to the right side of my body and I am regaining the lost strength I experienced. I would recommend Dr. Otte for your surgery.

Prepared for the surgical procedure prior. Written instructions were well done. Knew what to expect pre-operatively and post-operatively. Knew exactly what I could and could not do once I got home. Good communication from the office. Recovery went very well.

I fell last November and tore my rotator cuff . It was extremely painful and I delayed surgery until January. After my surgery , my husband and myself being the in the medical field was impressed that the recovery time was minimal. I was a new person after one week post op, with no pain or discomfort in my shoulder. My physical therapy started after a month and with the help of coastal orthopedic 's physical therapy group I am back golfing after 4months post op. I would highly recommend Dr.Otte to my friends and family because he did an amazing job on repairing my shoulder with minimal recovery time.

I was fortunate to have found Dr. Otte at Coastal Orthopedics in Lakewood Ranch, after I had a traumatic fall in early spring, severely fracturing my shoulder, and needed an emergency shoulder replacement. At the time, I was in incredible pain and worried because everything had been shut down because of COVID restrictions, and many offices were not accepting patients. Thankfully, he was willing to step up during the crisis to assist me with a reverse shoulder replacement, and make it work with what I had left from the fractures. His office staff and the hospital staff at Lakewood Ranch were all wonderful and supportive, from the initial surgery and through my recovery. I liked that I saw him often through the recovery process to make sure that it was healing properly. I am amazed at my range of motion and how quickly it started to feel like my natural arm with physical therapy and following his careful instructions. Dr. Otte did surgery to repair the rotator cuff in my shoulder and the results were excellent. When I first went to see him he did a thorough exam and diagnosed the problem but we decided to try physical therapy for a few months to make sure that surgery was necessary. I was very pleased with the surgery and had very little pain during the recovery. I was almost fully recovered after 16 weeks of physical therapy. Dr. Otte and his staff supported me and were very responsive to my needs through the whole process.

Dr. Otte performed a total shoulder replacement on my right shoulder after I suffered for months with horrible pain and virtually no use of my right arm. I cannot begin to praise him enough for his accomplishments! He gave me recommendations for an ice machine and for Coastal Physical Therapy. I followed his advice and can honestly say after the first week after surgery I had absolutely no pain! I have fully recovered and have full use of my shoulder and arm. I highly recommend Dr. Otte for your shoulder repair!

Dr. Otte is a caring physician who explains things well, and listens to his patients, and answers questions clearly. His staff is very supportive. My whole experience with reverse shoulder replacement was positive from first visit to my one-year follow-up, where I could truly say I had forgotten about the surgery, was pain-free after years of discomfort, and enjoying the use of my arm again.

Dr. Otte and his team were 'rock stars'. Jonelle, his assistant, called back very quickly. Dr. Otte is a world class surgeon. Dr. Otte and his team at Coastal were absolutely incredible. From my 1st appointment to my discharge, the team at Coastal were true professionals. I would HIGHLY recommend their services if needed. (I had a rotator cuff repair, bicep repair, and work on my clavicle) At our house, we call Dr. Otte the shoulder whisperer.
