You can look far and wide for a cardiac surgeon to help you with your heart issues and you will never find anyone else that approaches the skill and professionalism that Dr. Owen brings to your case. From initial consultation to after-surgery care, Dr. Owen displays a competence that will allow you to be confident that you are in good hands. Every doctor I have spoken to over the last two years, as well as many nurses who have worked with him, has given Dr. Owen a glowing recommendation. The thing you will hear most often is "If I ever need a heart operation, I would want Dr. Owen to perform the surgery. He keeps on top of every little aspect of the surgery, and you just get the feeling when you are being cared for by him that everything will be OK. I was originally thinking of having a TAVR procedure where they snake the valve up your thigh or another location but instead opted for the conventional open chest procedure. I am very glad I did. I highly recommend Dr. Owen.

Dr Owen repaired my flailing mitral valve 11 years ago, saved my life and did a fantastic job. He explained everything, even drew pictures to explain, answered all my questions. He was there in the weeks after surgery for followup and went to extra mile to make sure I was taken care of post-surgery. He's the best! Sadly, I heard he has recently retired.

Dr. Owen took the time to explain procedure , risks and benefits of surgery. I waited several months to get over shock that I needed heart surgery.. When I went back for second appointment he patiently explained every thing again , I set up the appointment and the surgery went well and I feel 10 years younger with lots of energy. I was back to work in 6 weeks after the operation.

I would definitely recommend this Doctor to anyone. He took care of my husband. He did a Triple Bypass and replaced the Aorta Valve. He was vigilant and run all necessary test ahead of time so he would have no surprises when he got in there. Very thorough. Wonderful bedside manner. He took the time to explain everything, what we could expect before and after the surgery. Thank you so much for the wonderful care Dr. Owens......

Dr. Owen will be replacing my mitral valve. I have only seen him once, but I was impressed!He explained the procedure to my daughter and me. He stayed with us for at least 40 minutes.Showing us the valves on the computer. That was very interesting.I want everything told to me what to expect afterwards and how they will do the surgery. In other words don't have the mentality of men in the 1950's and say "don't tell the little woman it may upset her." We women have come so far, and I am proud of us.
