I recently moved to Trinity Fl. and I was in need of a retinal doctor as I have macular degeneration. I was very pleased with Dr. Montzka and his knowledge of my condition. He is most professional and caring, as is his staff. I would highly recommend him.

Treated my dad for years for macular degeneration, went to him for a vitrectomy due to the vitreous interfering with my vision - excellent results, no complications, great improvement. He is very good at retinal surgical, and will spend time to discuss your issues with you and answer your questions. My only complaint was the surgical center nurse's IV placement bruised my entire wrist and up my arm and took literally 3 weeks to heal, so I wish he could have used a different surgery center. But I know that with the pandemic and all, a lot of juggling of surgical locations has been necessary.

my eye sight is continuosly getting better. and i have nothing short of continuous admiration & respect for the good doctor. i would recommend doctor dan p montzka too anyone, & feel very good about doing so. he,s the best. thanks art thompson

I was a patient of Dr. Montzka's. After he gave me a shot in the eye for wet macular I began to lose sight in that eye. I was very alarmed at that obviously. I called the office so I could be seen and find out what's going on. The office staff told me he wasn't in that week. No one was covering for him either. My regular Opthamologist called the office to get me in but there was no one there to see me. My regular Opthamologist is not a Retinaologist The office staff told me over the phone it wasn't serious. Really? Losing sight in my eye isn't serious.

Excellent doctor and staff! I couldn't ask for a better experience. I was referred to Dr Montzka for a torn retina which was considered an emergency situation. He got me in and performed lazar surgery immediately. He explained everything to me in detail. He has such a kind, caring manner & truly cares about his patients. He took time to answer my questions and made me feel comfortable and confident in his abilities. The staff is wonderful as well from the time you walk in the door until the time you leave! And as far as a little wait time in the waiting room ... it is worth it. That just shows the doctor takes whatever time is needed with each patient. To me that is a must! I wish there were more doctors as COMPETENT and CARING as Dr. Montzka.
