Gerard Hough's Online Review Report Card

Best Pediatric Doctor I ever seen. Very knowledgeable and does not rush his patients out. Both my kids see him . I will continue to take them there as long as the front desk can get their charging codes right. I pay a redicouls amount with military do to them using the wrong charge code. Dr Hough went to front to try and help us get everything fixed. It was cheaper for us to go to hospital then it was for a weight check. I recommend this Doctor to everyone. But something really needs to change with front staff messing up.

He has horrible bedside manner. He doesn’t listen to what you have to say, and spends most of the visit telling you things that are irrelevant, even when you very clearly try to redirect the conversation to your child’s illness.

Does not listen, inappropriate comments/stories; practice feels like an insurance billing mill. Terrible doctor and clinic; very questionable practices. Oh, and you will wait for hours, every time you visit.

Dr. Hough initially seemed very friendly, but I quickly felt he started judging me as a parent who does not believe in shots. This IS NOT THE CASE. I recently moved states and had proof of all my child’s vaccinations and flu shots. He was very hateful and even stated that I probably let my child play in the street. Once I showed him the proof, he backed down a little but continued to question me like he knew there was something I wasn’t telling him. All of which was completely off base as I was only making inquiries as to the instructions he was providing me. I left feeling uncomfortable with the advice given, that he thought I was a bad mother, and that my child’s health was not at all cared for at this place. This was my second attempt with this pediatric location and I will never recommend them to anyone. I will say that his nurse was extremely nice. I don’t know if she was over compensating for his rude behavior or if that is just her personality. I would have loved to continue to see her as my sons nurse but no one else in that office.

He does not listen to patients concerns, talks over you and goes on and on about things that are not relevant to the visit. Very poor bedside manner, he is too high strung and wired. We're changing pediatricians ASAP.

Dr Hough has been my childrens Doctor for 20 years. We love him and wouldn't want to use anyother Doctor.

Absolutely terrible! I've seen multiple doctors in this practice and have never had any issues! He is very old school in what he practices. He WILL NOT listen to you as the parent in what you know is best for your child. My son has had medicine for croup several times and he wouldn't not prescribe this medicine because he doesn't believe in giving medicine and basically told me it would run it's course in a week and if it got worse he would be there tomorrow and give him the steriod?!?! Yes because that's what I wanna do come back to see this quack and pay another co pay to do something you should have done in the first place like the other doctors in this practice. Needless to say it did get worse and I had to go back, but to see another physician who guess what... Gave him the medicine he has always received and now my son is breathing much better and over croup. Do not waste your time seeing this physician only to hear his terrible wackadoodle stories!

But he stands by his beliefs and genuinely cares a great deal for his patients. If it wasn't for the rude office staff at the front desk, he would still be our doctor. I have always had great experiences with him and my children love him. He was even my doctor as a child, and I distinctly remember him answering my questions as a little girl, being very honest with me about what he would do and if it would hurt, and keeping me calm and feeling safe. He was the only doctor I would let my parents take me to as a child.

I just HAD to post based on some of the reviews I have seen here, especially about touching or being creepy because Dr. Hough is a great doctor! He will conflict BIG TIME with parents who are anti- shots and just tell you to go somewhere else. But he stands by his beliefs and genuinely cares a great deal for his patients. Moreover, anytime my husband or I were apprehensive about our newborn's care he personally called us at home to check on the girls. He truly goes out of his way and loves his patients. I have never experienced anything inappropriate or questionable with him. I think there are just some FREAK mom's out there. Dr. Hough is a wonderful Christian man, and a top notch physician.

Dr.hough, touches inappropriately he made reference to my "areolas " during a visit, he talks like a predator and I dudnt like how he touched my child. He does alot of rubbing , I suggest the police investigate this man. He also has a temper and abuses power. I am very shocked.
