List of Haroon Ilyas's Reviews
I saw Dr Ilyas for a second opinion. I was told by my S Tampa doctor I needed surgery on my eye to stop it from constantly tearing. Dr Ilyas did a thorough exam and said my problem was mostly caused by severely dry eyes and with the right eye drops, my problem would be solved. He was right!!! No more embarrassing, uncomfortable dripping eye and no surgery required. So glad I have a new eye doctor! Great office, great doctor! And he couldn’t be nicer!
Very poor surgical outcome during a routine cataract surgery. Dr. Ilyas said he "did bad math" (as per his own words because I had also had lasik done several years before) which left me with an eye that did not focus near or far. Now it costs me a lot of money for special reading glasses/distance glasses, and has been unsatisfactory with contact lenses (which was why I paid for lasik in the first place). When I asked for an appointment at Brandon Eye Associates to see if there were any new techniques that could correct Dr. Ilyas original mistake, the office told me I would have to pay $65 to see the Dr. and ask that question.....
I had a very bad surgical outcome when Dr. Ilyas said he “did bad math” related to my cataract surgery. I had had prior Lasix surgery and he did not compensate for that situation. He ignored my phone calls after that and the office staff was rude when I tried to communicate with him
Excellent care and cataract surgery on both eyes! Corrected my vision for nearsightedness on one eye and farsightedness on other without glasses! Doctor was easy to work with!
The Dr did cataract surgery in both of my eyes and I couldn’t be any happier with both the Dr and the results he achieved for me, goodbye glasses. Thank you Dr. Haroon you’re amazing!
Dr. Ilyas is one of the best doctors I have had the fortune to meet. He is Very caring, thoughtful and knowledgeable. He performed my cataract surgery and gave me my eye sight. I have had poor vision since childhood with extreme astigmatism. I no longer need glasses for distance and buy over the counter reading glasses to use for up close work. The $300 to $400 spent on glasses has now been substituted by $20 over the counter readers. He follows my progress every 6 months. Thank you Dr. Ilyas.
Bedside manner is Great. Office Staff and Dr. Ilyas are out to make money. Office is doesn't care about, you as the patient. They just want to make money off you.
I am so happy with the results of my cataract surgery!
I had a cataract affecting 1 eye and with mono vision, my reading vision had become blurred. Dr Ilyas removed my cataract on inserted a new lens and I can now see perfectly without glasses! From start to finish, I had a perfect painless experience without any problems and was back to work within a few days. The entire staff was attentive, and explained every step throughout the procedure. My procedure was not typical, and Dr Ilyas was very knowledgeable about my condition. Awesome!
Out for money not to help patients with catracts. Pushed new cataracts lens that Medicare doesn't cover. Office does not want to work with Medicare. Have to go for 2nd opinion, because of cost and not Medicare friendly for surgery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
