Joel Biggers's Online Review Report Card

Receptionist seems to always be upset. Never answers the phone with a nice tone or says her name. She is the face of this office. Called today cause I had an intense lower abdominal pain hopping they I was able to see me today. The lady tells me their next appointment available is in October 19. This people really don’t care about you. I asked for the facility manager and of course is not available. Frank calls me back within 5 min. I do not understand how this person is the manager. He does not give any alternative solution just si ply states that they cannot replace me with someone that had an appointment time already…very narrowed minded. I do not learn my lesson. This happens to me a every time I have to deal with an appointment with this office. I am finally changing them as my primary physician and hope of you read this, never let this be your primary care.

When I am in Florida and need medical attention, I go to Biggers Family Medicine. I have found Dr. Joel Biggers listens, takes the time to understand my questions then provides a plan of action. I love the fact my insurance is accepted. Coming from Michigan, I am amazed at how quickly you move from waiting room to patient room to seeing the doctor. I am so used to 45+minutes in waiting rooms in Michigan. I think I need to relocate - ha ha!

I would highly recommend Dr. Joel as he is very competent and caring and takes a personal interest in his patients. I am very comfortable with the care and treatments he provides and he is very down to earth. They have their own lab for taking blood and other services. He responds or his staff responds to every message you send on the patient portal in a very timely manner and I never have to call to get information. Their office patient portal is the best of any Dr. or specialist I see. It can take some time to get an appt but if you are in dire need of a Dr. they will fit you in to see a PA or Dr. and not have to make an appt on line.

Had a head injury and was refused care because I didn’t have an appointment. Supervising doctor at ER said my injuries were potentially life threatening. This doctor is no longer my Primary Care physician because of this.

This office WAS my primary care doctor until today. Yesterday, I sustained a head injury. Not knowing the severity, I stopped in at my “primary care” doctor to be checked out. I was refused, told I needed an appointment. I had a large cut on my forehead and nose I pointed to and said I have a head injury. The receptionist insisted I needed an appointment and scheduled something for the following day. I then proceeded to the Emergency Room where it was confirmed by the ER supervisor that my injuries were potentially life-threatening. Luckily, they offered to treat me. I then kept my appointment with this BiggersFamilyMedicine group, really just to ask why they refused me. The APRN and nurse who took my vitals said I should not have been refused, that they would not have refused me. I asked to speak to the office manager. When he came in and I explained what happened, his response was to question whether I actually had a brain bleed or died? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!? That’s your response. If someone knows the agency that oversees issues like this, please reply so I can report this doctor’s office for refusing care - to a patient of theirs no less. I was not a random walk in off the street - although that doesn’t matter if you have serious injuries I thought. I have excellent insurance, even though that doesn’t matter. This staff doesn’t care about the patients, sorry to be an inconvenience.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Joel Biggers since 2014, and he has taken extremely good care of me. Dr. Joel is a wonderful doctor who gives each patient the time that they deserve. My family members are also seen by this practice.

Primary Care I had transfer to another Practice, they got New Doctor that took over her Patients, seen her 2-3 times she didn’t look at what’s best for her patients. A family member told me about Dr B & 1 visit I fell in love how he handle things. The only down fall is the wait time is a little long once Checked In to see him but other then that he is the BEST DOC I had so far listens to my concerns & answers questions Fast on his Portal. Thanks Again for all your help.

They are very through and have a great staff. Yolanda, the phlebotomist, always gets my vein, which is not easy and is very genital. Both Dr. Biggers are very caring and take all the time I need.
