I have seen Dr. Jackson twice now a couple of years apart. I never feel rushed with him and feel like he listens and addresses any concern I have. Makes you feel at ease with everything and really attentive and easy to work with.

Earlier this year I made 3 appts. with Dr Jackson, each time requesting medication to treat a chronic condition while waiting to see a specialist. He refused to prescribe I finally went to the after hours clinic affiliated with Bon Secour & was able to get effective medication. I had seen Dr Jackson for about a year & during that year he never once treated me for any condition but always referred me to a specialist. When I tried to talk to him about this issue, he immediately responded by saying he would no longer see me as a patient! I was direct but not aggressive or abusive in my approach. I am a retired psychologist & experienced in mediating difficult situations. Elderly people are often told we need to be “in charge” of our health care & not expect doctors to read our minds. But when I tried to be “in charge”, I was immediately told that he would no longer be my doctor. I am now in an “elder care” practice thru VCU & feel that my health issues are treated seriously.

I had an 11:00a.m. appointment with Dr. Jackson. I checked in, was weighed, had my bood pressure checked, and then was left in an exam room for over 1hr 20 min. He never showed up, nor sent anyone to explain his absence! I am 70+ years old and had fasted since the night before. Given his total inattention and lack of concern for his patients, I didn't feel I should wait any longer.

Initially, I was supposed to see another doctor. Since the office completely screwed my reservation, I was referred to see Dr. Jackson. At first, I was a bit skeptical with the office referral because I couldn't find any reviews on him. So, I gave him a chance, and honestly, I can say that I'm pleased with Dr. Jackson. He listens to my concerns, provides feedback and addresses any concerns I have. Dr. Jackson graduated from VCU School of Medicine in 2016 and is very knowledgable of his craft, professional, friendly and assertive. I'm glad to have him as my PCP!
