Jose R Prieto's Online Review Report Card

I went to BAYID over a year ago and requested Dr. Prieto, I was told he was full and was put with a doctor that demeaned me. Then I was put with one that didn't treat me like a partner, made me feel unsafe, and triggered my PTSD. That wasn't good enough, I was still told he was full, despite everything saying he was accepting new patients. Then, somone I knew got an appointment with him and I inquired and was told he was again full because "he just took on a lot of patients." Shouldn't the patient who expressed concern with his doctor making him feel unsafe should have been moved before any new patients were on-boarded? BAYID is quickly shooting their reputation down the drain. Dr. Prieto is captain.

I was promised Dr. Prieto for over a year. Everything says he is accepting new patients but every time I say I want to see him I am told he is full. Last time they had the mendacity to tell me he was too full because he just took on a lot of patients. I should have been transferred to him before any new patients were onboarded, I have been waiting for over a year.

First encounter was in the hospital and he was one of the doctors I’ve dealt with who took the time to establish a foundation of information before ordering a bunch of drugs. Second and third encounter was in his office. Same format of taking his time and walking the family through the issues. I don’t feel his staff are as diligent as he in their follow up.

After weeks of this office trying to get a drug to admin to my grandmother I was finally advised they reason its not happening is because Dr Prieto wasn't happy with the contract the pharmaceutical company offered ….. Which I was told by his nurse that means hes not getting paid enough!!!! I would never recommend this office to anyone!

I was so impressed with the first visit, what a good visit. He covers all your past and present problems. Gives all the time to you did not rush you. I had been very ill for 4 months and the next week I was 100% better. He knows what he's doing. I am back to good health again in 2 months. The best there is in his field. Thank you Doctor Prieto so much, Helen CARLISLE.

Dr Prieto was exceptional in my care of the few years I was lucky to have him. He understood the medicines and applications out today but more importantly he was passionate about his specialty. he took the time needed to talk about anything and everything so you were comfortable with the course and treatment plan. It is rare to have such trust in a doctor but he truly will always have mine.

He always takes the time to explain any issues in full detail. Very concerned about my well being. I feel he is a blessing from God.

Dr. Prieto took care of my family member and was so good at listening to any problems that he had. Wait time was very little. It is so good to be able to go to a doctor and feel like you matter.I highly recomend him. We were glad that we were helped with all of our insurance needs also.

I had an infection and I was referred to Dr. Prieto by my primary care physician. Dr. Prieto was wonderful he took the time to counsel me and explain the antibiotic I was going to be taking. I did not feel rushed during my visit. The office staff was polite and the office itself was clean. I did not see anything out of place (and I work as a medical assistant in a doctor's office, I know what to look for). I did see the office manager during my visit and she was polite not only to me but to her staff. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Prieto. I did review my eob after my office visit to see what they billed my insurance (I do this with every physician visit), Dr. Prieto charged for exactly what I was seen; an office visit.

Watch out for the billing to your insurance company. They bill for items and services never performed and then insurance will not pay. Then they harass you for money not due.
