List of Monther Al Halawani's Reviews
I went to see this doctor last week and he was very condescending, did not want to listen to anything I had to say (while showing arrogance), and told me I was out right wrong when I said that stress and anxiety can cause problems with blood sugar readings. I will never be seeing this doctor again!!!
Staff was great. The doctor was rude and non-informative
Last week I had my first follow up for hyperthyroidism. At the start of my appointment the doctor yelled at me regarding the ultrasound telling me I should have gotten it done there, I went to a different facility. He denied reviewing and demanded I get another one at his office. I declined and informed him I was not told I HAD to get it done there or I would have. He left the room to confirm with the front desk what I told him. Then upon his return I told him I'm not getting another done right now because I already paid $180. He proceeded to say FINE. He didn't review the bloodwork but confirmed it still shows im hyper...DUH! He proceeded to say I needed to up my meds, I asked why and I'm not sure I won't to. Instead of explaining why he proceeded to speak into his record indicating "patient refuses meds". I tried to explain to him about a rash I experienced and instead of listening he told me to stop the meds and I needed to get my thyroid removed. He said I can't see the rash and if you are allergic to the meds "I don't want to get in trouble"He then stood up and walked to the door l whole im still trying to speak to him. Today I had a follow up with a different endocrinologist with Baycare, she listened to my concerns and indicating since I responded well to meds and reaction went away no reason to stop meds. This doctor is set in his ways and not willing to partner with the patient. If you are looking for endocrinologist..go somewhere else. He has no "bedside manners".
Dr. Al-Halawani was one of the most intelligent and knowledgeable people I have ever met in my life. I loved him from the very first minute that I met him. He let me do all the talking before he ever spoke one word, and he gave me total eye contact and he took excessive notes while I was speeding. He assured he he could help my blood sugar levels get under control immediately and he certainly did. He put me on high doses of u 500 insulin and it’s the only thing that works for me. This Doctor saved my life and I am now able to live a healthy lifestyle because of this Doctor. He has an amazing personality and he is very smart as well as very down to earth. A very humble and loving man I immediately sensed his caring and love for his staff and his patients. When he greeted me with a smile and thanked me for the opportunity to work with him I felt like he was the one that I needed. He took plenty of time and never rushed me during my examination. I highly recommend this Doctor to anyone who needs an endocrinologist. He is definitely worth your time and money for a doctor who truly understands your health care needs and is willing to help you get through your medical issues and get you better no matter what it takes. Thank you Dr. Al- Halawani Your patient Mike Dunn Riverview, Florida 33579
Very knowledgeable about diabetes and the effects of insulin resistance
This so called Doctor is rude. He speaks to me as though I am five years old making me repeat what he says. He refuses to even allow me to ask a question. He has no bedside manners and I advise you to seek a different doctor. He contradicted all test results and told me my primary care doctor is all wrong. He over medicated me to the point I was nearly in a diabetic coma more than three times from blood sugar dropping to the fifties. He doesn’t care about anything but his ego. The office changed my appointment without calling or checking if I was even available. The lack of professionalism shines here. You are not the only endocrinologist in town. Your passive aggressive attitude puts you in a bad light. You are not God. Hopefully everyone reading this will find a caring doctor who will treat them with RESPECT.
Dr. Al-Halawani is the best. He sincerely cares about your well being. He is straight with no chaser and I like that because, he is there to assist you in getting well and that is exactly what he does. Thank you Dr. Al-Halawani.
I call on the phone for a appointment and they hung up on me three times. I do not recommend this Dr.
This doctor is a joke he doesn’t listen to you. My daughter went to him and he kept cutting her off wouldn’t listen to either of us. Made it look like we didn’t know what we were talking about. She went and had her lab work done and saw a different endocrinologist who was amazing listened to her explained things to her gave her a plan. If I could give negative stars in a review I would this isn’t how a physician should act or treat patients.
Horrible office to go and they continued loosing patience because of bad practice. The front staff are horrible and with attitude, refuse to answer questions that are very important for a patient. My G6 company sent them a fax 10 days ago and they refuse to respond back to them( for the second time ). Refused to see me as a patient because I was disputing a charge that I didn’t understand and refused to explain the charge even I told her I was willing to pay my copay. There is no positive attitude when they tell you that you need to sit down and wait for someone else to answer questions. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. I will report them to the Bbb Jose Rodriguez

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
