If a doctor walks in the room saying you do not need to be there, leave. If a doctor refuses to acknowledge the importance of a medication you have been taking for nearly 30 years, run. Never allow a doctor talk down to you. You do not have to be a doctor to be intelligent, a honors college graduate, and have held a professional position for over 30 years. You know your heart better than anyone, even a doctor, especially if said doctor refuses to listen. My medication controls more than blood pressure. It controls arterial fibrillation and inherited arithmetic syndromes among other things. Be your own best advocate. My condition is so well controlled by my medication, it does not show up on sacred tests. So happy to have had doctors who acknowledged this in the past.

May be intelligent and experienced but so full of himself he does not listen to patient. He is arrogant, rude and dismissive. Very poor bedside manner. Does not like to be questioned. Gave questionable recommendations to my husband. Thinks he is God.

Dr. Mester took sufficient time to explain my condition and a path moving forward. He answered my questions promptly and I'm very satisfied by the level of care he and his team provide.

When I was a medical student at USF Dr Mester was a second year medical resident. That was in 1985, I had a new baby and was president of my medical school class. I have NEVER forgotten his name. His arrogance and abusive attitude towards me has lasted all these years and after working with him I decided that I would never be a doctor like him. I try to treat all people with respect and dignity and I can only hope that Dr Mester has changed. Unfortunately, I fear that a leopard cannot change his spots. Dr Steven Roth

Nasty nurse, nasty doctor. Go to Dr. Robert Dewhurst, he and is staff are wonderful. Stephen Mester is a world class jerk and so is his nurse. Just terrible, waste of time and money!!!!!! Worst cardiologist I've ever been to in my life.
