List of Vipul Joshi's Reviews
Dr. J and Kaylin are amazing. They are so in-depth and so caring. That really then themselves deserve a five. But just like the other reviews I've read on here, I have to give it a one because of the office staff. I also noticed that the lower ratings have been within the last year. I really hope that Dr. J decides to look up his practice and read these reviews. They've gone downhill this past year all because of office. The office staff is rude. Unprofessional. One time I asked for a revised statement and and the staff said really. Everybody deserves an accurate billing statement as a medical biller of 15 plus years. I know this and to be told really was so wrong. Other issue that I find baffling is the comment their voice recording refills can only be done at the time of appointment. My appointment was made my appointment was made for after all my refills ran out. So now I'll have to miss a dose because they denied the request from my pharmacy and when their response back to my pharmacy was I need to schedule an appointment. I have one and per their message they're not even going to discuss it over the phone.
Called to make an appointment and was told I do not qualify because I MUST have a secondary insurance to my Medicare. I asked why and was told doe to the high cost of treatment a secondary is required in order to be given an appointment I told them I would cover the extra cost myself and was told that it was not their policy to allow that. Pretty sad when a patient needs treatment particularly for a painful condition and cannot get it because a decision is made by staff and policy as to the fact that the cost MAY be too high! So sad...
First appointment and was not told they do not take debit or credit cards for copay. I have an HSA card and have never not been able to make a copay with it. What company does not take debit or credit cards? Cash or check only , who does this anymore? It’s unfortunate because Dr Joshi was recommended by a doctor I work with. I will definitely let him know not to recommend.
To bounce off of what Crystal erario said, the same thing happened to my mother, and was disrespected by the office manager Rachel because she stated she had not received anything saying it’s not her problem and to continue care somewhere else. She is the biggest bully in that office and I have no clue why she is even an office manager with the attitude she has, making sick people worst by her combative attitude and stern tone. Dr joshi should be ashamed of his office manager. She shows no type of empathy. If I could get crystal to reach out so we could do a joined complaint about the practice, I would love that
This didn’t happen to me but happened to my aunt but the office Manager Rachel needs a reality check. The way she lacks professionalism and treats patients is extremely uncalled for. She shows no amount of respect at all. My aunt had the worst experience with her and this office due to not receiving notice about a payment and just being cancelled as a patient. Rachel lacks any empathy and really needs to be talked to about this. As someone who works in the customer service industry daily and has previously worked with patients both in office and even direct hospital care I would never think to treat people the way Rachel does. If there is a corporate number or higher up I am able to email or even speak to that would be greatly appreciated because considering these reviews it seems nothing is being done or resolved. My aunt did not deserve to be treated the way she did and she should’ve never been spoken to as if she was dumb or lesser than.
“If I could give 0 stars I would” FIRST OFF I am writing this on behalf of my aunt who is sick with Lupus and is currently undergoing a horrible flare up right now. BEWARE of this office which is full of uncaring and miserable staff. The office Manager RACHEL lacks ANY kind of customer service and advised my aunt that “Lupus isn’t my problem”. How dare an office treat a patient with such carelessness and apathy. How can they dismiss a patient who has been waiting MONTHS for an appointment over an invoice that was never received. When offered to pay it upfront (after having no knowledge of said invoice) she was denied and her appointment cancelled. It’s a disgrace how any establishment can run this way let alone one that is supposed to “CARE” for people. If you have ANY care for your patients start with removing your horrible staff and allow your patients the courtesy they deserve!!
This doctor does not have an empathetic personality or apparently the expertise to help people. I was there a total of 3 times. The first vist was a consultation/physical in which he examined my joints. During that visit i had an issue with my finger as well but I understood that was out of his scope, no problem. However, apparently he did he told my primary care provider that he also did a physical on my finger to treat it. My pcp told me thats the reason why they did not follow up. This had me confused and when I asked him he stated he said no such thing, since again his scope is only within the field of rheumatology. I just let it go. My second visit was for testing where i had all three appointments switched to 8:30am on a Monday. However, after getting there the Technician would not see me for my appointment, even though she was just sitting at a computer. The tech stated I was late, even though i explained that I am a new patient who set up my appointments for 8:30am. It was really hard as it is to make arrangements to reschedule and I came on time. Again, I just let it go and only went to my other appointments I had scheduled. I was flabbergasted that the tech really just sat there the hole time and did not want to do due diligence in taking me in. My third visit was going over the medications. Two in specifically. Just a side note, humeria is currently in the middle of a lawsuite regarding for their meds are pushed on patients. A whistleblower stated that doctors are getting kick backs and not telling people of the real dangers that is associated with take with humara. During my my consultation and third visit the doctor was pushing, you guessed it, humara so hard and put the fear in me to tell me I no other choice , even though oztela was a safer option that may treat joint inflammation and pain. During my third visit I asked questions pertaining to my health, my labs , outcomes, and dangers. The whole time the doctor only pandered to me and danced around any questions that I had. I had to say at one point may I just get it it straight, and he stated, " I know im dancing around the question, but I do not know much about rheumatology. " I thought that was weird, and then he stated I should go to the Mayo Clinic, two hours away, to have my questions answered. I asked was my labs that critical to escalate and he stated no, nothing was critical . This left me confused. Then he told me a story of how he also treat doctors, nurses, and baseball players. One particular baseball player takes , humara and was searching for an alternative. The baseball player's wife is also a holistic doctor. After 10 years the baseball player could not find an alternative including in holistic medicine and still on humara. This doctor then stated he would give me pamphlets to read on both otelza and humara and also stated that i should look into seeing a holistic doctor also. This left me confused since he communicated that story of one of his patients. This was a strange visit and i just let it go and was going to follow up to start the medication. However, i received a letter the following Monday of a letter of dismissal. I am so shocked and dont understand why. So in the end I paid medical costs and did not receive any real treatment or service. This doctor is openly racist, one who feel their race is high over others and had hidden motives of discrimination. Notwithstanding, the rheumatologist receive kickback for higher cost medications, even though there are others without as much adverse effects. The doctor also has a steady stream of client's that's referred to him for pushing higher cost drugs more than others. So beware of your economic and healthcare decisions before being susceptible to this treatment.
Not good. I came to him with severe rheumatoid arthritis. I saw him once and have seen two different pHYSICIANS assistants. Now they want me to see another PA. I HAD SEVERE thrush and could now see them. So I saw my primary care doctor. I believe that was caused by my arthritic medications. I need help. I need to be taken off my medications.
This is the third rheumatologist I've seen. Dr Joshi and his PA are by far the most concerned, thourough and listened well. I am an enigma and they were the first team to look at all my comorbidies together. The longest appointment with a Doctor ever. I finally feel I have the best I can trust. I found them both amazing. I am so happy I found them.
I have been seeing Kailyn Campbell for almost a year now. She has been super informative, and very professional. And just over all very friendly. Its nice to see a provider these days where you do not feel like a number, and they actually care. I would highly recommend Dr. Joshi office and staff.
