First of all they lied to me about taking my insurance. Then they have the balls to say it was a miscommunication on their part but they would charge us the least amount possible. Like no the mess up was on your part. Try charging us and we will sue you. Then they told us we could be miscarrying just because it was too early in the pregnancy and they couldnt see anything. Who says that to someone who its their first pregnancy? Their only saving grace was Annette. She comforted me after the doctor scared me by evening bringing up miscarriage.Update: THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. THEY ARE NOW TRYING TO CHARGE ME OVER 900 DOLLARS WHEN THEY SWORE THEY WOULD NOT IF I PAID THE 71 DOLLAR OFFICE VISIT FEE. STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES
So I made this appointment over a month ago because I am a huge believer in being in the hands of good healthcare providers. Bring new to the area we solely went off of friends referrals. I looked up the provider and was happy with 3 people. Even though the appointment took a month I waited patiently. I arrived today with my son who is 2(during the holidays his school closes for 2 weeks) I explained this to the office personnel. It was fine she would inform the doctor as I said I’d bring him in his stroller with his tablet to keep him preoccupied. We arrived at 1:50 for a 2;00 pm appointment, check in downstairs says “who told you bringing the baby was okay?” I said the person who made my appointment. She calls upstairs we wait, wait, wait…..I ask her kindly what was the problem she said they told her they needed approval. I explained this was already discussed and approved. It is now 2:15 and I am already 15 minutes into my appointment. We go over to chairs and sit down. 15 minutes later she calls me with the okay to proceed upstairs. We get there and ofc are asked for DL & insurance card which I provided for the staff to tell me they are not in network. Working for a medical provider myself this is absolutely unacceptable. Who does chart preps, insurance verifications which should be done a few days prior to. An entire afternoon wasted, 40 minute drive from Sun City and loss of wages for taking a half day off. The office staff is basically sitting on the clocks. I advise anyone making appointments to stay on top of these ladies. NEVER ME AGAIN!
My first appointment they wanted me here 30 minutes prior and I arrived 5 min after my appointment time of 3:05 and they put me in as a no call no show. Rescheduled and got here 30 min prior and been waiting an hour and still haven’t been called to see the Dr. I could have been seen the first time if I had to wait 30 plus minutes to see the Dr. People have lives and they need to be held to the same standards they want their patients to adhere too!
If your pregnancy is smooth I'm sure they are great as you just follow the processing line. But they don't care about you as an individual, they have caused a lot of trauma by not informing me of processes etc, when I told them I am leaving because of it all and so I could have a water birth, I was told good luck as a baby just died from that. It's been a horrendous experience and I can't wait to leave. But can't until they give me blood tests to check for gestational diabetes, which I was also told if I have earlier than 28 week I'm risking killing my child. Very good at scaring you so you follow their process rather than the process that may be good for you and YOUR baby!
As a first time mom, my prenatal experience has been horrible. I have great insurance being that I am an RN at a hospital. Already knowing what my insurance does and does not cover, this office is charging me around $545 per month; this is not following my insurance. The month of August I was overcharged and payed over $700. Why did I pay? Because it was a routine visit and like any good mom I wanted to make sure my baby is doing ok because they won’t see you without payment. Spoke with OB coordinator Migdy Avellanet during my second appointment to go over billing which should have been done during my first visit and it’s a shame she lacks the info to do her job. She could not explain exactly what the extra out of pocket costs are for, stating the billing includes delivery costs, although they will not deliver my baby because they do not cover the hospital I chose and I’m getting a csection anyway. Additionally, I will still have a separate bill from the hospital. She wrote on my billing agreement a different hospital to give birth at when I made clear my insurance does not cover that hospital. Women’s care does not allow your spouse during the visit because of covid but when my husband called Migdy to clarify billing 4 times with voicemails left, she didn’t return calls. The office does not allow you to see the same provider because of wanting to all have experience with you for your delivery day, however, again, the providers I’ve been seeing do not even deliver at my hospital so I will not be seeing them anyway. No continuity of care here. My first provider and I saw I have hypothyroidism from my labs, the second provider said I don’t when looking at the same labs so now it’s not being monitored. Went to the lab and they drew one vile of blood. I left and 10 mins later they called asking me to come back because they forgot to draw the rest of my labs. Again, just more incompetence from this office. If you want a stress free prenatal experience don’t come to this office. And if you want to live a financial stress free life, don’t come to this office.
Today was the absolute worst experience. I called and confirmed the appointment 3 days prior and then after driving an hour and taking time off work they inform me they can’t take my insurance and I will not be seen. Also the staff was rude and did not want to help or resolve the issue I even offered to self pay and they still turned me away. I wish I known this before driving this farThe doctor are great I’ve been seeing Natalie Negron for about 5yrs she has always been amazing but their staff at the BRANDON OFFICE IS HORRIBLE!!
Appointment was for 9:15am I arrived at 9:10 after complaining I was called to do vitals 40 mins later. After sitting in a room and now waiting for over an hour at 10:20 I walked out.The nurse even gets an attitude and tells me to wait since I am next. Not once did they apologized. I sure hope they refund me the $40 since I was not even seen.Worse experience ever.
Over the years, the service I have received from Dr. Armas has been outstanding. Dr. Armas and the staff are friendly and ensure that I am adequately informed about my health and care. Not only has Dr. Armas taken excellent care of my health, but he also shows concern at every appointment. I would have no hesitations in recommending my family and friends.
Horrible turned me away because of my weight. Saying I am too high risk and sent me to Genesis, which has nothing but bad reviews. Very disappointed and offended.
They booked my appointment, confirmed the appointment, confirmed my insurance and still are asking me for a referral when I got there, after driving for 40 minutes for a regular routine exam. My insurance automatically covers these type of services for routine. I saw them rejecting service to a woman in pain there as well. Incredible (health service).

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
