Chapters Health System's Online Review Report Card

My grandmother recently passed away and stayed here during her hospice stay. When she was at the hospital we were told she would be allowed unlimited visitors at this facility so all our family could come see her before she passes. When we arrived we were told only 4 people could be in the room at a time and other visitors needed to wait outside. Several of the nurses were VERY rude and forceful with us with enforcing these rules. One nurse said to us I better see two people walk out of that room if you two are going in. Ill be watching. The staff were very inconsiderate and it was like they didnt have any sympathy for the family of the patient. There were maybe 2 nurses who were very kind and understanding. They need to update their covid policy so that people who are vaccinated masked can be with their loved one in their final days.

I recently left my mother there for a 5 day stay while I went out of town. I was very unsure and scared to leave her there not knowing how she would react. I can honestly saying that the staff was amazing and gave me reassurance that they were going to take care of her in my absence. It was nice knowing that no manner what time of the day I called to check on her or who answered the phone they were always aware of her current situation and allowed me to speak to her immediately. It was wonderful knowing that I left her with such a great group of caretakers. Thank you for all you do.

I must say during this terrible time losing our mother. The staff was so caring to her right up until the end.Sturgill hospice let my sister and I stay with our mom until the end.The staff was so accommodating to our mom as well as my sister and my needs.This is a great place for a very difficult time. Thank you to all at sturgill hospice house. You all made a difference.God be with you all.🙏

Not happy with

My father was transported to this facility from Oak Hill hospital Nov. 26 2020. I can not say enough positive things about the staff and this facility. Losing my Dad was 1 of the hardest things Ive ever had to experience. Seeing him laying comfortably no tubes no more machines in a quiet cozy room eased my pain.The staff I wish I could remember their names were amazing. They treated my Dad with dignity and respect. His nurse even combed his hair. My sister and I stayed the night next to Dad and were with him when he took his last breath. I can not imagine if we didnt have facilities like this to be with our loved ones. Thank you to the staff for all you do for families at such a difficult time. I know we appreciate you.

The nurses and the facility are amazing. They have been very knowledgeable and caring not just to the patient but as a support to the family. Your family will be in great hands here.

Everyone took such great care of our mother with dignityin her last days.

One of the most caring places I have been. They give excellant care for not only the Patient but also they are just as concerned about the family and making sure they are resting. They put you at ease its ok to take a rest your going thru a lot. They were their when I needed them. Thank you HPH Hospice Care Center

Need now German food

Been here over 1.5 hours and still no medicines used. We moved from home hospice to here so they could administer stronger meds. These calls started at 930 tonight and it is now almost 130 in the morning. The staff is too busy making excuses. Dont even get me started about how they FORGOT to get dinner for her 2 nights ago before we moved her back home. This isnt where you want to be if you are worried about anyone you care about.
