List of Frank S Bono's Reviews
It was the most unpleasant exsperace I never had.. Would never go back.
Dr. Bono performed a lumbar laminectomy, after other docs said I needed a full fusion. I am now pain free after 2yrs and have my life back! I literally feel re-born and can do things I haven't been able to for so long. He, and his entire staff, are very pleasant, helpful and professional. It was an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
I can't thank Dr. Bono enough for my laminectomy on April 24th. I had been in pain for three years and nothing I tried provided long term relief. After physical therapy and seeing Dr. Bono, my back feels the best it has in years. Truly remarkable!!!
Dr Bono performed a lumbar laminectomy, after my release from surgery, I was able to walk up steps using my left leg first, I have NOT been able to do this in 3 years!!! The entire Staff are very helpful-provided kind & professional information, no question is dumb, I’m extremely happy for my service at Bio Spine
Dr. Bono performed my cervical surgery. Not only do I find him to be the ultimate professional but the entire team at Biospine was excellent to deal with. When you schedule your surgery at Biospine, you get to meet with the doctor first so he can explain everything. Another place in Tampa had a PA review my MRI and said I needed pins and screws and I would meet the doctor the day of the surgery. That was it. You won't see that at Biospine.
Dr. Bono did my cervical laminectomy 2 years ago. Very pleased with him, the entire staff, and my results.
The BioSpine Institute knows how to treat the whole patient from initial contact through surgery and after. Every interaction is professional, caring and complete. From initial intake and pre-surgery nerves and doubts through post-op questions, nothing is left to chance. Dr. Bono's surgery (laminectomy) went as planned and the results were immediate--- 100% relief from pain & numbness of past year. I am back to walking, doing increasing distances and completing a mile before the 3 week post surgery mark. Could not be more pleased. On to resumption of tennis and maybe even golf. So very grateful.
I would like to see Dr Bono open a surgical center in Sarasota Bradenton area because Tampa is 1 hour away. It is hard to find someone to drive that distance and wait for the patient to go home.
I had been in pain for NINE YEARS, always there. I could not walk or stand and talk to people more than 10 minutes because of the pain. Did it all: Chiropractor, Aspirin, Exercises, Physical Therapy. One of my doctors who is also a surgeon had Dr. Bono operate on him and he was happy. Heck, chosen by another surgeon and tired of my pain I called BioSpine and requested Dr. Bono. Now, three weeks after the surgery I AM A THRILLED CAMPER! Far as the surgery, I can't report on it as I slept through the entire adventure!
My first visit to the Institute went well. The staff was friendly and helpful, and also very efficient. On my second visit, I met Dr Bono. He was very serious, and all business. I liked this, because I wanted a top notch surgeon, and bedside manner was of little importance to me. On surgery day, the surgical center was running very efficiently, like a well oiled machine. Dr Bono made no small talk; he had his game face on. Surgery went well. I was in at around 10:30 and out by 2:00. No pain. At my 2 week follow up, Dr Bono was relaxed and friendly; he even smiled. All was well. I don’t know if the surgery was a complete success yet, but so far, it is much better. An Ole general practitioner once told me, “never mind your surgeons bedside manner, you want a good surgeon. “Dr Bono is that, and then some. Dr Bono and the BioSpine Institute is beyond good. They have my highest recommendation.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
