I was a patient of Dr. Shuayb for almost 20 years and although I have moved to the Harmony area, I have never found a doctor who cared about his patients

I am a nurse and extremely picky when it comes to physicians. Sometimes to much knowledge is a bad thing making the selection even harder, especially when it is a specialist. I definitely did my homework before seeing Dr Shuayb and of course nurses talk to other nurses and he was highly recommended by his nursing colleagues. I decided to give him a try and I’m so glad I did. I had some previous issues going on but they worsened and he was ready and available anytime I needed him. His experience and knowledge was impressive and he has a calming effect. His office staff is great and willing to help in anyway they can. Thank you for your service to me and our community Dr. Shuayb and staff!

Waste of time seeing this so called doctor. Doesn’t communicate well. Says he will not prescribe pain meds but he will send you to pain management so that they can pump you full of pain killers. Also has a few test run and an unnecessary procedure to tell you that there is nothing wrong with you. But if you think there is then go to a different hospital in either Gainesville or Tampa. His words to go to a different hospital. I’m still in pain and it is getting worse but of course it’s not his problem even though the pain is coming from an area that he is a doctor for.

I love Dr. Shuayb but! He wore an ill-fitting, useless mask in his office and when I went in for the procedure, two of the first two people I saw (one a nurse with a mask dangling from the nose piece-no ear loops, the other a doctor with NO mask visible at all, both coming from the surgical area) had a flagrant diregard for Covid transmission. He is kind, he listens, and his office staff is the same. I may go back when Covid is no longer an issue, but I walked out before the procedure, not willing to risk it. If this is what I see when I am awake, what happens when I am unconscious?

Dr. Shuayb is extremely kind, very knowledgeable and an amazing physician that I trust. He takes the time to explain things and makes you feel like you are the only patient he has. So thankful he is my doctor!

He has been taking care of my diverticulitis issues for a few years. 2 colonoscopies and 2 endoscopes and he is awesome. He spends time with his patients which means a lot!
