Should be 0 stars!! All Dr. Kumar cares about is doing the Zephyr Valve surgery. He set up tests for me at the hospital and never told my pcp so no referral was sent. On the day of tests I was informed they never received the referral. I had an appointment with Kumar after the test that was canceled because there was nothing to discuss. Told his staff referral was needed. No referral was ever sent. Then I missed an appointment because my husband was in a hospital very ill the next town over. Dr Kumar called me 3 times about the tests so he could possibly do the Zephyr Valve surgery. Very pushy. When the tests didn’t get scheduled ( his office fault) he dropped me as a patient. 2 other people I know went through the same thing. Now I have an ominous looking 3x3 mass in my lung. I was sent straight to the cancer dr. They tried doing a ct biopsy but couldn’t do it due to it causing my lung to collapse. A request was sent to Dr. Kumar for a biopsy ASAP, going down my throat to my lung he REFUSED saying he doesn’t treat me anymore but he’s the only dr in my county that does it. Who refuses to do a cancer biopsy? Now im driving 40 miles away to see a new dr using precious time I may not have. UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL
Not a good doctor no personality at all doesn't care and if you cancel an appointment they will make one for you without asking
Office staff are rude and do not provide necessary information to the pt , when I started seeing this Dr. my insurance plan had no co pays , them I changed my plan to a ten dollar co pay , I have seen many Access Drs on my new plan and pay my co pay at each visit with no problem , I came in for a necessary test and this office only takes cash or check , refused to administer my test because I didn’t have ten dollars on me , instead of doing the test and letting me come back to give them the ten dollars , if you have a different policy than most drs then you need to remind patients when you send out the appt reminder . Very unprofessional for a specialist to deny care over 10.00 Also there is a warning on the wall telling pts if you don’t treat stalk well you will be told to leave , I have never seen such a warning in any dr office .Office staff is not kind to patients, does not appear that they like their job
You have to pull any information out of him. His bedside manner, well let’s just say very lacking.
This Doctor nor his staff deserve a one star rating.. The rating scale needs to be in the negative because they deserve a negative 10. My husband having breathing issues. After being relased from the hospital, he went in for his initial appointment. Dr Kumar told him he seemed okay for now but if he had another flare up to call him and get in right away. 2 months later, he had a major flare up. I called the Dr. Kumar's office and some lady answered. I informed her the Dr said if he had a flare up to make an appointment right away. She asked me, The Dr said that? I told her yes. I asked her can I please make an appointment. She advised the Dr was not in and she was taking notes to reach out to him. I asked why she couldn't just make an appointment. She said she had to talk to the doctor first. What kind of doctors office refuses to make an appointment unless the Dr is in!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ended up taking my husband to the hospital. I never heard back from this doctor or his staff. While in the hospital my primary doctor came in and informed my husband and I that Dr Kumar has closed our account!!!!! No explanation or nothing. My Dr asked if we missed an appointment. I informed him we never got another one. ADVICE...STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!
This doctor and office should receive 0 stars. My grandmother had a massive stroke and prior to that was trying to get her sleep apena under control including getting a 5+ year old CPAP machine replaced. When we called the office we received an uncompassionate and annoyed office member who was unwilling to provide support in getting records or assisting. When in the business of handling geriatric patients and family members who experience trauma-- compassion, patience, and understanding. How this doctor decided to help was sending a letter stating he will no longer see my grandmother as a patient. They did us a favor, but for other family members who may experience this...hoping to save you the frustration.
Barely listened to lungs at each visit.
I am beyond pleased with the time Dr. Kumar spent with me. Patients are always nervous on their first visit and one minute into mine, I felt like he was listening to me and giving me his time to explain things that I have been experiencing (instead of just saying " Ok, take this and come back in a few months" ) He is very polite and knowledgeable. The office staff was friendly and helpful when I made my appointment. MK and Erica both. I highly recommend giving this office a visit if you are in need of a pulmonologist.

He's intelligent and keeps up with the lung issues that are going on in the world. I had to wait over an hour for an appointment I made almost 7 months ago. He is very dismissive and rushed me out of my appointment in less than 10 minutes. I wont be returning to this practice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
