List of Santosh Potdar's Reviews
Dr. Podhar is an excellent surgeon! He is caring, extremely competent in any situation. He is extremely experienced and I will always trust his expertise in my surgical emergency. I have had many surgeons in the past that have not been able to correct my abdominal issues. Dr. Podhar took excellent care of me!!
Dr Potdar scheduled me and performed gallbladder surgery. In 2016. He ignored the fact that I had copd and in performing the surgery cut into my diaphragm. I was left in recovery with no response be to care for me as he and his assistant had to go on to another surgery. I had an open wound which my daughter had to care for. My appointments for follow up, one ordered by my primary, and another by my home health person were non-productive. And when a hernia developed, he told me it wasn’t a hernia. Consequently, the hernia has grown so large that I can hardly breathe and 4 surgeons have told me it can’t be fixed. Thank you so much Mr. Potdar for ruining my golden years.
He slit me open but I guess was in too much of a hurry to go play the slots in Vegas. No follow up. I am now left with a gigantic hernia that no one seems to be able to fix. In my 73 years, I have never encountered a So-called doctor who cares so little about his patients. If you are thinking of using him, please don’t.
Dr Potdar did colon surgery on me Jan 2017. He was knowledgeable and did an excellent job. I am happy to recommend him to anyone that needs his expertise.
Dr. Potdar did surgery on me back in November 2017 and I go to have my three month follow-up and he is not able to see me and they call a day before to cancel stating he is not in my network and even though I have out of network coverage and was willing to pay cash for my follow-up I was told no. This patient feels abandoned by my surgeon! Thanks a lot!! BEWARE OF THIS SURGEON!!!!
Dr. Potdar is an excellent surgeon!. Aside from the fact that he is a great surgeon, he was also very involved in every aspect of my care. He is a friendly and caring doctor and I would definitely recommend him to others.
My mother had a larascopic appendectomy, which I cannot even tell you if it went okay. We weren't told what to expect or what's normal, and basically the 'after care' emergency line is an answering call center who communicates with the doctor. Two attempts to communicate with the doctor and initially he brushed me off the phone, then 2 days later I got the answering service who reiterated the doctor said "drink fluids or go to the ER". I was shocked, that's it? All your schooling and this is how you handle things AND your advice? You should be ashamed. I don't care how annoying your patients can be, or how busy you are. You take an oath to help people AND ITS YOUR JOB. If you don't want to deal with people, DONT BE A DOCTOR. You are, disgusting. I've worked in the health field for 10 years and would NEVER recommend you or stomach working for you. But I guess it doesn't matter, doctors in america either do it for the money or do it for the love of humanity, you are not the second one.
actions speak louder than words, and this doctor definitely doesn't care. No post op follow up and when you do have questions, you're basically brushed off and told "go to the ER". You sir, are what gives doctors bad names and you disgust me in the way you've handled yourself
My father has stage 4 Kidney cancer that spread to his intestines creating a blockage. This prevented him from eating or drinking for 3 weeks. The attending doctor recommended hospice care. Dr Potdar was the surgeon who examined my father and came to see him everyday. We told Dr Potdar that we were discussing hospice. He said he was not ready to let that happenand asked to conduct one last procedure. It worked. My dad is now able to continue cancer treatment vs hospice. He never gave up. Thanks!
Would recommend Dr Potdar and his office staff to anyone who needed general surgery. Very professional and down to earth. Explained the operation and recovery in terms my wife and I could understand

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
