List of Dirk Peterson's Reviews
I love Dr. Peterson. Always makes me feel safe and secure every time I’m in the office. 10 out of 10.
Excellent Doctor & Experience!
I would not recommend Dr. Peterson to anyone. During the time he was with me, all he could talk about was the Civil War. He seemed to have no interest in my concerns. It was like he had no idea what he was doing. He assisted Dr. Rachel Wykes with my surgery for pelvic prolapse, which as totally failed me in less than a year. The problem is worse than it was before the surgery. Now I have to use catheters often and before I never did.
Worst gynecology appointment I have ever had. I was referred to see a gyno by another doctor due to significant cysts and other symptoms that were cause for concern. I chose Dr. Peterson because he came highly recommended by peers. He Did not listen to my concerns or answer my questions and even made a face at me when answering questions about my sexual history. Which made me and the medical student or intern observing blatantly uncomfortable. His jokes were almost back handed But more importantly he had already decided before he came to the appointment there was nothing wrong with me from my chart even though I was a new patient. I left the appointment with no answers feeling embarrassed and hopeless. As soon as I got into my car I bursted into tears. I’m not one to leave reviews online ever but I really wanted to share my experience in hopes better patient care will be provided and women considering this doctor have ALL informative and honest reviews. If I could give 0 stars I would
Don’t listen , and rough with his patients. Run!!!
STAY AWAY - Very rough hands on my wife. This was 2 years ago, and only now she's realized, after experiencing a caring, gentle female GYN what a dismissive, downright harmful man this is. Plus he botched her friend's surgery with severe consequences. Find another.
He talked my fiancee into a "needed" fallopian tube removal surgery, then couldn't remove the tube, then said it was fine to leave it in, as long as it wasn't causing pain.Do that math.Believe me, he did.His way of solving everything is to just keep saying, "what other questions do you have?," but then he doesn't answer them.I have never been so disgusted with any professional in all my life.
My first visit with Dr. Peterson was a wonderful experience. He was very compassionate and helped alleviate any concerns I had. I am so glad I found him, he and his staff were extremely nice and professional.
This appointment was one of the best experiences I have had in the 11 years I have lived in Cape Coral. Dr Peterson is very personable, has a sense of humor, and seems truly interested in what you have to say and what needs to be done. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about procedures, which is a rarity in most offices here.
I was hospitalised for three days with a kidney infection and cathedor because i couldnt pee and very sharp pain around my kidneys. I was given IV antibiotics. At the same time i was having lower abdominal pain. Once discharged, i took all of my antibiotics as told, my kidneys then started to clear up. But still in excrutiating pain from my lower abdominal i wait until i get an appointment with dr peterson, before he examined me he walked in saying there was nothing wrong with me, stop taking all of my antibiotics (usually drs tell you to finish them) and to not go back to the hospital because they wouldnt know what to do with me. So i go home still in excrutiating pain, my husband takes me to a different hospital. My results showed of a hemorrhagic cyst on my ovary.I havent been able to work for a over a week because of this, i can barely move at times of the day. Dr peterson is very unprofessional and i will not be returning nor recommending him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
