List of Paul B. Engel's Reviews
He was an absolutely wonderful Dr to both my mother and father. He was my Dr for a short period. I am an addict and was upfront with him about this. He told me upfront he would never prescribe any controlled medication. I think that is absolutely his right and appreciate him being upfront. I decided to get clean with the use of kratom which is a leaf from Asia. It worked incredibly. The only symptoms I had were complete insomnia and completely no appetite. After 3 days of no food or sleep I called his office and explained. They talked to him and got back to tell me I needed to go to the ER. I explained I’m not looking for controlled medications, I understood that is not something he’s going to do but would like a consult. They called me back again to go to the ER. I have no hard feelings but feel 4 stars is fair. His staff is the best and he’s a great doctor. Do not go there if you have an opioid addiction. I imagine he judges you, but certainly is not a good fit for you. Thanks for the great care for my folks and being upfront with me Dr Engel. In hindsight I should have found a different Dr. I highly recommend him He was an absolutely wonderful Dr to both my mother and father. He was my Dr for a short period. My last appointment with Dr. Engel confirmed to me it would be my last. My appointment lasted three (yes 3) entire minutes. On my way out I noticed he had charged me for a high level office visit which constitutes about 40 minutes of time. When I called him on it, he got all flustered and immediately grabbed the sheet to change it. People often wonder why health insurance is so expensive, well here's an example! I hope others take a close look at what they are being billed for. Imagine if he had 15-3 minute appointments per hour. He'd be seeing 120 patients a day!
I've had Dr. Engel as a Primary Care Physician for 10 years of complete and total health. He's been wonderful! I always worked out regularly (5 days a week), ate a healthy diet (typically paleo), and stuck to all doctor's orders. I would consider myself the ideal patient. All he had to deal with for me was keeping my thyroid in check because I have hypothyroidism. Then came Hurricane Irma. All ...
I have been a patient of Dr. Engel for at least ten years. He takes the time to get to know his patients and to listen to them. I know I can rely on Dr. Engel to take care of all my health needs.
Absolutely the best and most through health care to be found in the Cape and beyond.
Dr.Engel listens to my concerns.Highly recommend. His nurse Maryann awesome.
Difficult to deal with Nursing Staff
Rude and officious staff. Won't go back.
One of the best Drs I have ever been too. Kind, compassionate and thorough. 💯
This was my first visit with Dr. Engel. He was very easy to talk to, listened to what I said, and explained all my test results. I am very pleased to have Dr.Engel as my primary care physician.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
