I left a detailed Google review under my name ‘Asia’ in 09/2023 describing improper collection from the hair ends. Although Google no longer shows it, I have a screenshot/recall of the content: I had a very unprofessional experience here. I went in for a hair follicle drug test, and instead of collecting the sample from the root — like they’re supposed to — the woman took it from the ends of my hair. That’s not proper collection protocol and can give inaccurate results. I tried to ask questions, but they didn’t seem trained or certified in the correct procedure. Would not recommend for any serious testing or official screenings. Prior to my testing day, I did do a hair molecule test so like I was telling the lady at the office yes she did it incorrectly.

I have been a patient here for quite a few years now. Dr. Barata is really fantastic, along with his practice manager / Nurse Aileen. They have been with me through a lot of health issues over the years. They actually listen and truly care about their patients. Thank you for all you do!

All the staff here are such a pleasure! They treat you like family and are very attentive to the little things! They are also extremely good listeners and attempt to resolve each health concern to the best of their abilities! Their care and support for our family is greatly appreciated. All the staff are very professional and knowledgeable, and if they don’t know something they communicate effectively amongst each other to get you an answer. Thank you Riverside Family!

Just had a televisit with their office. The nurse was wonderful, compassionate and very knowledgeable. Medical assistant was incredible- fast and efficient. Recommend this Doctor to anyone!

Where do I begin? Several years ago I was dissatisfied with my primary physician and was trying to find a competent doctor close to home. Before my friend moved away from Florida, she was telling me about the doctor she goes to and it's only 10 minutes from my home. I thought 'what have I got to lose?' and called them for an appointment. Not only did I get an appointment but I got one for 2 days from the day I called and at the only time that I could come in. When I walked in I was greeted by name by the reception who said hello to me. (Yes!). I filled out the papers with my information and gave them back to the receptionist. Shortly I was called in to see the doctor. It was Dr. Luis Barata Hidalgo. He greeted me, welcomed me to their practice and asked me to tell him why I was there. (Gee, a doctor who wants to know why you're there and actually listens to you. Yes!) My initial visit was 1 hour long. We set up an appointment, shook hands and then I left. Two days before my next appointment I received a message on my phone asking if I was still able to keep the appointment at the designated date and time. I was. And that was the beginning of the relationship with a medical practice that I didn't think existed anymore. When I walk in for my appointments, I'm treated like family with greetings and a smile from everybody. Oh, don't get me wrong. This is the way every patient in their practice is treated. They have a mini lab there where they draw blood, test urine and will do an EKG if necessary. I only wish that I had found this practice when I first moved into Florida 12 years ago. In all that time I've just been bouncing around from primary doctor to primary doctor until I found the perfect one and the perfect office personnel as well. Today I got the greatest surprise. I take a medication for my Adult Kidney Disease which costs me $45 a month. Thanks to UnitedHealthcare l have reached what they called the donut hole and until the end of the year my medication will cost me $172.23. Sorry, but I would have to choose between groceries and medication for a month. Today I received a call from the office manager Eileen who told me that they have company representative samples and they are giving me enough so that I don't have to do without this very necessary medication. I mean, when your kidneys go, you might as well say goodbye. So, that being said, on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this medical practice a rating of 100 if that were possible. And would I recommend them to my family and friends? Absolutely, positively, no doubt.

They are always there when I need them. They always try to get me the soonest appointment that they can. They go above and beyond for every patient. They helped me find doctors that I needed and every doctor they have referred me to has just been amazing. a big shout out to the whole office staff and the whole doctor staff you guys are amazing at what you do and thank you so much for everything! I highly recommend this office to everyone!

Ladies at the front desk are the BEST!. They acomódate my mother that was very ill, very professional Dr. Fernandez. Is an excellent dr. I love this clinic very satisfied with the service an care they provide.
